My ETS 2018 S4W3 deck. Went 4-3 this week, so if we pretend that's even a remotely good sample size, replacing 2x
Thunderbird with 2x
Vadius, Clan Father is worth exactly 1/7th of a win!
Even more than last week, I
strongly feel the
Shugo Standard is the correct power card in the Market. It is extremely rare for me to need a Primal Influence by 3, but pretty common that a Shugo Tactic wins me a game where
Rally does not. If you really want that Primal Influence in there to make absolutely sure Vadius can come out and play, at least go with
Crest of Fury over
Skycrag Banner since the Scout is usually gonna do more for you than one undepleted power the same turn you play a 3-cost
Ixtun Merchant.
The
Cinder Yeti are nice in a more midrangey environment, but in this Control-ubiquitous hellscape the competitive scene currently lives in, it's too often a 3-cost 3/2 that you'll never wanna play, and that'll never attack once you do. Even the Warp isn't all that useful since, at the top of the curve as a 3-cost, any situation in the current meta where you would have drawn Cinder Yeti next turn is a situation where it would have been preferable to have drawn Vadius, or even just something with Charge like
Blazing Renegade (note: this is not an endorsement to slap two of her in here). So unless you really think the meta will shift more towards Combrei Aggro (which is a horrible matchup all-around, especially in a meta where bringing more removal is usually death), toss the Cinder Yeti, and replace them with basically anything that has an immediate impact or Aegis. But for the ladder, where you'll see a bit less TJP Control, Cinder Yeti's still playable.
