Information

I finally got around to craft a playset Call the Ancients and started brewing with it. After a lot of experimenting this is the first reasonably successful list.

The deck is for the most part an Elysian Midrange deck, that is relatively light on removal cause it aims to go bigger than the opponent thanks to cheap Units with very high stats and Xenan Obelisk. It includes the Infinite Hourglass + Divining Rod combo to pull out Titans, either the ones created by the Call (always thought they'd be called Ancients) or the Sandstorm variant, but also works well with Cirso + False Prince and/or all the Flyers in the deck. In addition to that there's a lot of card draw in the deck, aswell as Excavate as a sort of multi-tool, allowing to play more Calls, setting up guaranteed hits with the Rod, fetching cards discarded by Rod (or which got killed or already used, as it always does).

The deck is fun to play and in my (limited) test games so far it has been quite strong against anything I came across.

Good Luck, Have Fun \\(^o^)// Dish

Edit: Just a few finishing touches.
-Exchanged one of the Hourglasses for a copy of Accelerated Evolution, which does a similar job and actually is a bit more flexible, cause Hourglass is terrible in multiples.
-Added 2 Twinning Rituals cause copying a Call Titan and playing one or even two in the same turn isn't hard, and it's just a very useful card with a lot of the Units in this deck. Those came in for 1 Excavate (wonderful in the deck, but 4 is too much) and 1 Strategize (it's good, but since Call and Excavate create card disadvantage, the other draw effects are more important.)

Edit2.1: Final finishing touches (really), since I got a lot more games in now.
- I completely replaced Hourglass with Accelerated Evolution, since it's so much more flexible, provides extra stats and provides the option to turn almost every Unit into a worthwhile Rod carrier.
- I took out a Wisdom of the Elders. With the additional cards from Accelerated Evolution to pitch for Strategize a 3/3 mix seemed reasonable.
- I replaced one of the False Princes with another Champion of Wisdom, cause Prince is a BAD target for most of the spells, especially Evolution and Twilight Hunt, while Champion is a very good one. Also never can have too many big beefy flyers.
- Also took out one of the Divining Rods cause it showed up more often on my early hand than I appreciated and while it's often doing a great job when I get to play it, it rarely gets more than one additional Ancient Titan on the field, so I...
- ...filled the two open spaces in the deck with Mating Call, which isn't only much cheaper to play, and in result easier to combo with an Ancient Titan, cheap enough even to pull the killed Titan you just put with Excavate onto the deck, it also searches a lot more cards for those Titans and sometimes (provided you played Call more than once) slams 2, 3 or more onto the field. Keep in mind though: If you only ever played Call the Ancients once, and one of those 4 Titans it created is the one you're playing Mating Call on, your chances to hit even one of the remaining 3 in the whole deck are really slim!
However, the combination of Mating Call and Divining Rod works in my games so far a lot more consistent and effective than relying on the Rod alone.
- Played around with the powerbase a little bit, i.e. adding Amber Waystones to the mix to last a bit longer against rush decks.
- Changed the name of the deck ;P

Thanks for sharing !
Have you tested it also on ranked matches ?
Dishwisher Edited Eternal Version: 1.31
Very welcome :)
This one I actually exclusively played in ranked since I posted the original deck list, and then made the changes as the ladder required.
It's of course no "Meta" deck, but it performed pretty well and got me quite more wins than losses while I played it.
Which was till last night when I took this list as a base to build it's cousin, still with a play set Call the Ancients but not as the main focus, that's Crown of Possibilities, which is blasting through the ranks for me right now.
But like I said, this list already was more than decent on ladder.

Thanks for the fast reply, I really wanna test your deck, just considering if it worth crafting 4 call of the ancients with all of my shiftstones :)

If you're unsure if Call is a card for you, I suggest not to go with this list first, but to craft only two copies and put them in a standard Elysian deck to experience the card first hand. In my opinion it's a very useful support card in a lot of Elysian lists as a two of, not so much to get that dream turn 2 Titan, but a bit later, when you have hit all your needed power, got some draw, and want to raise your chances to draw into gas with it instead of flooding out. And since the Titans cost only 2, drawing into them with Wisdom or Strat usually leaves you more than enough power to play them right away. And then if you got a feeling for it and like it, you still can craft two more and try this list.

I'm pretty sure i'll like it, just wondering if in the current meta this deck can help me climb to master fast (I got other options like feln control, skycragg etc').
What do you think ?
Dishwisher Eternal Version: 1.31
The deck is good enough to get to Master, but you'll most likely have an easier time going with a proven meta deck. Though you never know, ladder changes daily sometimes and you might happen to play mostly against decks and people unable to handle something that isn't quite meta and unexpected. If you want a middle ground and happen to have access to 3 or 4 Crowns of Possibilities, I could post for you the deck I mentioned earlier and use for laddering right now. It's similar in a lot of ways, but a few levels stronger and more consistent.

Gladly, I got 4 Crowns (actually got all the cards from this deck besides the call of the ancients).
