The current meta is saturated with aggro and control decks, without that much in between. In trying to consider a way to combat this, I came up with the idea of jamming as many efficient ambush cards as I could in one deck. Ambush is obviously good against aggro,
Ayan, the Abductor and
Saber-Tooth Prideleader can reverse a board-state in an instant while providing much-needed lifegain. But they're also good against a control: you can hold
Xumucan, the Surveyor back until after the enemy
Harsh Rule, and then slam them for 7 the next turn.
The rest of the deck is mostly removal, which I don't think needs to be explained, and other cards that support this strategy. Ambush units stay relevant longer when their stats are buffed, which is why I include the
Xenan Obelisk in the maindeck. And as long as I'm running Obelisk,
Street Urchin seems like an obvious include, as when buffed it because the best topdeck you can possibly draw late in the game, good for 2-4 free cards while staying on the board.
If you really wanted to move the Obelisk to the market, I'd switch out Tocas for Aurelian Merchant so that you can fetch it more reliably.
EDIT: Replaced the maindeck Obelisks with 3 Aurelian Merchant and moved Obelisk to the market. Ancient Excavator is solely for if Obelisk gets blown up against a deck that only runs 1 attachment removal in the market.
