Mono-Shadow gauntlet grinder that's based on high-value mono shadow units like Argenport Instigator and Marionette, then refreshing your hand with nightfall.
The addition of Xenan Lifespeaker really makes all the difference, and shaped most of the rest of the changes. Pros include:
Late game power sink
Combos well with nightfall.
Argenport Instigator now heals you for 1 each time you kill an enemy. Damage to self is negated.
Fenris Nightshade self-damage is negated.
Auric Interrogator self-damage is negated.
Impending Doom self-damage is negated.
Umbren Reaper is now a 15 point swing even if all it does is die! Usually it sacrifices itself to kill a dangerous enemy flyer as well, so it's earned itself a place in the market.
If you don't have Xenan Lifespeaker in your opening hand, you can still usually get some good combos off by playing it + dark return/merchant in the same turn, then playing your ridiculously overpowered unit WITH lifesteal the next turn. Sadly it doesn't work with Marionette Cross when drawn from the deck.
I'll be updating this deck as I play more gauntlet games with it. I feel like Auric Interrogator is next on the chopping block, as it's ability is almost never triggered. I haven't identified a good replacement yet, though I may try to fit more nightfall cards in for the card draw.
The deck's only remaining weakness that I've found is against Armory decks, as we have no relic removal. We also have no silence or AOE spells, but the deck doesn't seem to need it.
EDIT: Added burglarize to help against armory decks, and trying out a couple of Cabal Countesses in the Auric Interrogator slot to abuse the ambush mechanic against the AI.
The infiltrate ability would go off even if it was removed with a relic weapon, right?
EDIT: No, no it does not.

Zelia is really good for removing enemy threats, but with the AI you can just attack in and use rapid shot because they never anticipate combat tricks. It's not really needed in Gauntlet.
