Remember
Paladin Oathbook, that relic which encourages you to attack with one unit per turn? Why would you do that when you could attack with more than one unit per turn? In fact, why bother with removal spells when you could use those slots to SMORC HARDER!?!?!?!
This is a budget aggro/tempo list built around
Siraf's Beacon - which I've tried before but my previous list was pretty awful - with the sole goal of smashing your opponent in the face with a whole load of units and getting rewarded for it. We don't like blockers, so we include
Aamri's Choice,
Wind Conjuring and
Mistrust - note that the second of these can actually get you game-winning removal cards on the Invoke, but why would you ever do that?
Fuel for the Beacon, other than Mistrust, includes
Crownwatch Paladin,
Intrepid Longhorn and
Resolute Monk. With all these Justice sigils flying about we also include
Gilded Glaive and
Mantle of Justice. Lastly,
Chancellor's Horn gets a few points of health and tutors one of three top-end cards:
-
Fourth-Tree Elder for evasion and a good blocker
-
Mithril Paladin if you suspect your opponent is going to kill whatever comes out
-
Powerbreach Sentinel to keep the power train rolling.
Lastly,
Calibrate pulls whatever you need from the next few cards (at TJJ, we don't struggle with fixing) and
Araktodon Egg is a very solid early "unit" to curve into a Beacon. We don't have a Market. Markets are for removal cards.
Now go smash faces and have fun!
