Information

So you like locking your opponent out of the game?
Unsealing their grasping at shadows makes you smile?
Then here you go, this is the perfect deck for you!

After trying to make xenan Reanimator work (I failed but the idea of vara into azindel was to tempting), I tried to build something that can punish greedy lists and plays and this is what i came up with.

The gameplan is pretty simple: "out-tempo your opponent". While they are playing 4-6 drops you just beat them down with your Hojans. It's definetly right to play an Valkyrie Enforcer on curve to get on the board, even thoug it is nice to silence something here and there it is a reasonable unit as vanilla 3/3 with flying.

Xo s are mainly there to get marketed away and to have some fighting power in the late game. Should you run into a lot of rakana and skycrag agrro, i d recommend switching them for Kothon.

Market is nothing to fancy i believe, may be the rizahn isn' t that good anymore, haven't fetchted him once yet but i don't know what else to play, but until now it works out fine.

Currently having a 15-5 record and back climbing to that top 10.

See you guys

Repulsion Eternal Version: 1.42.3
So I've only got like 10 games with the list, but I really like it so far! Great job. I got into masters late, so it got me up from 1600 to around 1100 pretty quickly.

I do agree with hojan, however I'm kinda wishing that there was another meaningful thing to do turn 2, cause I didn't see hojan in a decent chunk of my games. Or maybe I should be mulling more aggressively to see him? idk.

I'm gonna try kothons later today in lieu of xo, and will see how that goes
Struppy Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Hey i m super curious how the Kothon worked out for you so far :)
Repulsion Edited Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Also, i the deck seems really weak against Time, which i mean I guess makes sense. Like the deck can't win against sst into moonstone, or multiple sst
Repulsion Eternal Version: 1.42.3
I haven't been able to play too much the last couple of days, but I do like him so far!
Pros -
1. It's a solid mana sink turn 6, especially after countering a harsh rule or something along those lines.
2. Them not being able to be permafrosted is pretty relevant at the moment

Personally I like him more than Xo cause we usually never get to 7 to actually play Xo, or if we do more times than not we're out of the game anyway.

Also as a side note, i swapped out seek power for cargo, and it hasn't really screwed me over yet.
Repulsion Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Can't wait to try this out!

Have you consider Champion of Fury instead of Hojan?
Struppy Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Hojan feels crutial in the aggro MU to be honest. the Lifesteal works wonders there.
Might try a more aggro focused list with champion but at that point you might be better of playing ixtun Blitz
Repulsion Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Gotcha, makes sense, thanks!
Avyoine Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Why no ixtun cargo? I've put Telut instead of Rizhan. Doing good so far.
Struppy Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Telut felt a little slower than rizahn in the games i tried him (6 is waaay harder to hit than 7).
I prefer seek power over cargo because I hate getting mana screwed and random cargo cards most of the time didn t help with the gameplan. If you are playing Telut i would definetly recommend Seek over Cargo.
Avyoine Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Yeah i was trying few sideboard options there. Rizhan fits beter overall, but in few test runs 1 of Burn Them All was pretty good too. And yep, cargo turns out pretty meh xD
Korenthil Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Works for me.
Struppy Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Glad to hear that :)
Sweaty_Wizard Eternal Version: 1.42.3
I would say take out the Rizahn for a sweeper as a reset button if you need it.
Struppy Eternal Version: 1.42.3
The deck doesn’t want to harsh rule it’s almost impossible to generate tempo after playing a sweeper. You will face a board immediately again next turn. Without making progress. If you fall that far behind the game is propably lost anyway with or without a reset button
Sweaty_Wizard Eternal Version: 1.42.3
After playing many games with this. I Rizahn is in fact fine. Did not realize how easily we can stall the board with units. Also I did add the 3PJJ owl that prevents you from playing weapons over Vanquisher Blade, and am loving it as such. Also shaved some numbers to add levitate which helps with the whole tempo feel of the deck.
smilefires Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Rizahn is probably still fine in this list because most of your renown enablers and pump spells are, well, spells. I personally switched him for Mortar in my list like this to have a dedicated "kill a site" card, but I also have fewer spells right now.
