Bear Guard Bayonet playing undepleted power is absurd.
This should not be a good deck, I just threw together some cards that synergize with the new Homecoming cards. It should probably include some form of interaction like some Enforcers or Blades. However ramping into
Korovyat Palace is very effective.
Edit: after playing more of this I'm actually convinced it is a good deck (not
tournament good, but still good). Its power is far too reliant on your opening hand but it still has game without Hojan + Bayonet openers. I mostly let Chains to carry me to victory, but a 10 attack Silverwing Courier with Berserk is an effective closer.
Pledge Cards
Considering the importance of Pledge and the available options I think this deck should run 12-16 sources.
Aniyah, Arctic Sheriff and
Silverwing Courier are pretty solid, leaving the rest to be filled out with
Imperial Loyalist,
Reyna, the Unwavering,
Shadowlands Borderscout, or
Eilyn, the Rising Storm. Pledging Justice is usually what you want in order to be able to play Icaria on 2 and hit JJJJJJ quickly using Bayonet. Loyalist and Borderscout are extremely good if you can hit them with Withstand but that is not reliable and they benefit heavily from some other activators in your deck. Reyna is usually just an expensive fat body and Eilyn does not pair well with Whispering Wind (you can't discard her and she reduces the chance of drawing Chains). Personally I find using Loyalist to tutor for Aniyah (Withstand) or a merchant (Mirror Image) quite fun so that's what I've been sticking with.
The original plan was to use Whispering Wind to tutor for Chains but I've found that it's important enough to just run several main deck. Having multiple Chains out is a great way to really drive a point home.
