Goes under all the aggro decks by not running 2 and 3 drops, but instead maximizing damage by dropping multiple 1-drops which are always above-curve of most of their respective higher value units in this faction. Spin-off of
Skycrag Aggro: Hailstorm was a Buff Edition
Cherry-picked win images:
Deck plan:
Instead of playing horribly understatted cards like Rakano Outlaw (2/2 on 2) or Vadius (3/2 on 3) we play multiple 1-drops (4/2 on 2, 6/3 on 3) on the following turns.
No Shogun's Scepter?:
It's a 2/1 charge for 3 with a 2/1 left behind. With influence strains. This is quite slow.
No Vadius?:
It's a 3/2 for 3. Either you play it vs. aggro and it constantly gets attacked past, vs. midrange and it gets walled against all the x/4's, or vs. control and you just played a 3/2 for 3. Praxis Outlaw has better evasion than this thing.
Praxis Outlaw?:
You run out of cards. Nevermind, now you don't. Also has basically Vadius's statline so no complaining.
Changes compared to stock list:
+Eilyn's Intervention
+Snow Pelting
+Ornate Katana
+Tripwire Grenadin
+Censari Brigand
+Praxis Outlaw
-Shogun's Scepter
-Vadius, Shiftstone Waster
-Rakano Outlaw
-None of the obscenely terrible value slow cards above 4 power
After May I was reset to Gold III, easily climbed to Diamond III but couldn't move out with anything I had and didn't have shiftstone to make good cards because I dusted good cards for bad cards.Regular Skycrag and Stonescar were giving me wins but I always lost at Diamond III 86, every time.
I cut the three Brigand and the Tripwire for Fearless Yeti. Good with the two one power Yeti spells and it helps to smooth draws and push extra power to the bottom to find those Cinder Yetis. I didn't want to spend stones on Brigand and figured I may as well replace a long Tripwire as well. My only wish would be that we could fit Pummel in too.
Eilyns Intervention on Unseen Commando is dirty. There were games against TJP like this.
Oni Ronin Vs Scout power
Two drop Vs Awakened Student
One drop, two one-power removal spells, one for Student, one for their three drop
Torch is really good. A slightly less good Torch is still really good, with the bonus of tearing through aggro and tokens matchups.
