A long long time ago I challenged myself to build a deck trying to use
Light the Fuse. I tried to get
Black Iron Manacles as more damage for drawing extra cards. I threw it in a control shell, lost a bunch of games, and called it a day.
After patch 1.28.7, I'm only seeing
Stonescar Gunslingers v2, and I wanted to build something more fun. So I went back through my old decks and found this bad boy. Patch 3 gave us Nightfall, which both deals a damage to the opponent, makes them draw more cards, and turns on our Rindras!
I had a couple of
Nocturnal Observers for a bit, which was cool in that it filtered our draws and turned back on Night. However, the creatures in the deck all need to be able to block against aggro, especially the low drops. So I cut it in favor of actual removal.
The manabase is correct in terms of color balance, but I'm not certain if the balance between sigils/waystones/seats/crests is correct.
The miser's
Solitude is pretty great if you have a Manacles out, but it used to be an
Azindel's Gift, and I'm not sure which is correct. Solitude is better vs an aggro field, where as Gift is better vs control. Maybe one of each? I'm not sure how to squeeze it in though.
I may try Sabotage / Devastating Setback. They pair well with Black Iron Manacles, and take out removal, which is good because of our low creature count.
Still tweaking - Any feedback is welcome!
