Hello!
I don't have time for witty nonsense today, let's get down to the gitty nritty.
No
Permafrost? People are playing too many things that give Endurance, have Endurance, or sacrifice their stuff. Permafrost is one of the most defining cards in the format, and when it gets too good it actively becomes bad. I'm trying to stay ahead of the curve on this.
Linebreaker's Shield? What the... Hey, what did I just say about Permafrost. Sometimes it helps to make people who rely on it feel silly. Same goes for the
Lay Siege in the Market.
Outcast Fortress I've found to just be a good card. It comes with 3 decent spells and then the payoff is game winning. You don't need a ton of curses to make it good, although the ones we are playing are pretty good, such as:
Wanted Poster +
Felrauk's Choice which is just busto. Do this as many times as possible because you'll never lose. Choice also doubles as a pretty useful negate that has been relevant more times than not. Could you throw a few more Curses in the deck to make Choice a little more reliable? Sure. This is where Permafrost or some of the other cheap curses that don't do much come in. The issue is, you're really only gaining an advantage when the curse is Wanted Poster.
Fun fact though, if you have a unit under a Permafrost, you can use Choice to sac the unit and draw the Permafrost for yourself!
Ok, so
Cast into Shadow is a good, but not always great, card. When the opponent plays into it, it can be absolutely backbreaking. But there are a lot of multifaction units running around so I found 3 to be just a little bit too many, but 2 is very good.
The Market is fine. Obviously
Regent's Tomb is incredible, which we know from the 8 Merchant FJS days.
Eloz's Choice is a cute sweeper for the Cultists of the world.
Lay Siege is to kill Permafrosts. Honestly I wouldn't mind an extra bomber man to get in stalls or floods, but so far I haven't been too displeased with the contents of it.
Oh right, the Power. Well, there are no Emblems because this isn't a deck that wants to be using their Decimate very often. Otherwise, I'm playing all the Seats I can. Make no mistake, the power is the weakest part of this deck. The solution is probably some number of Insignias, which are obviously always Depleted here but will help get the colors on track. If you can improve the power, or anything else, I encourage you to do so.
Give the deck a try!
