The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
It was initially added as a unit that doubles as removal against a big unit. Plunder definitely plays a role in it's addition since it can help fix power/influence issues or turn excess power you draw naturally or from Courtier into further value. I think it is likely meta dependent now with the addition of Dazzle (since that also functions as interaction with plunder but instead of being a unit it can negate many spells which may matter in certain metas.) Playing neither may also be correct in certain metas (not sure if the current one is correct for this decision) since both can be hard to have effective usage depending on what is being played.
Avigraft says hi (I think this deck is one of the reasons it's so common now). I've swapped Equivocatex4 for Banishx3 and Permafrostx1 with some nice results.
There are so many people trying to pilot this deck in diamond, it's hilarious. I would not attempt it myself. You really need to know what you are doing to play this. Damn
What is the Purpose of Jotun Hurler in the market? It's the only card that I don't get why exists in the list. Is it supposed to be used as fuel for Pitfall Trap to draw 2 fresh cards?
It's a +1 card advantage option that you can select early if you're going for the Ark of Sol plan and the snowball is also good against a bunch of one toughness creatures like Oni Ronin, baby Icaria, etc. You can then loot the Hurler itself away if you wish, or put it back in the market, or whatever.
I'm at least doing better with this now, though I'm still averaging an unimpressive 50% win-rate. Stonescar just seems to kick me in the unmentionables every time.
I'm guessing Linrei's Codex was considered but does nothing on 4, whereas Obelisk adds a bunch of numbers?
Also, is the plan to throw down Quivers as fast as possible to boost the tokens? Or hold for the removal option?
Every time I feel like I've reached an epiphany I get on a losing streak. It can fun but it's frustrating at the same time.
That's where Pitfall Trap comes into play and let's you start paying 1 (0 if you have Severin, the Mad Mage in play) to loot all your extra "lands" into real cards (since you have just removed all the power from the top of your deck.) Just be sure you don't cast Calibrate before you start your looting venture since it has a higher chance to fail when you've removed all the power from the top of your deck.
I get it now, so many little interactions to manage, and consider opponent's strategy. I added blood quill but may swap it back for a permafrost.
Question: is permafrost preferred over turn to seed because of the lower cost? I appreciate the efficiency of the cards to do a lot with low power. Also, the strategy is a quick win so the additional cards affected by seed may never be there.
To be fair I've easily played over 1000 games with Rats since I initially built the deck 2 years ago and have continued to iterate on it throughout the years. There are a lot of tiny interactions to be aware of, you have to be very aware of what is going on with the meta and make heads up plays as well as some very important sequencing. The deck has always been fairly relevant in the meta throughout the years and it is very rewarding when you learn to play it effectively.
I was admittedly a giant pillar of salt when I wrote that initial post, having gone 0-6 with the list, but then got better matchups and better draws. Still feels like you're all in on a very fragile strategy still.

I was able to make this deck except for two Makkar's Quiver, what do you think of substituting Zende, the Heart-Binder and/or Cirso's Cleaver?
Any other substitutions you might include as a sideboard??
