Diogo Málaga, Elonze +
Invoke the Waystones
Diogo combo! Plenty of people have been talking about this strategy since Diogo was spoiled, and I've fleshed it out here to a surprising amount of success. Is it good? Ehhhh, I'm not convinced it is once people figure out how to play against it, but it's fun and does have the OTK. I tried a few win conditions but
Lumen Reclaimer felt like the best way to not die after drawing through the deck. I also tried
Talir's Unwinding with
Icicle Marksman but both cards were awful on their own and didn't end up doing a ton of damage together either.
How the Combo Works
Diogo gives Invoke the Waystones Destiny, which creates the following loop:
1) Invoke the Waystones is played.
2) The top 4 cards of your deck are discarded.
3) The next card is played for free.
4) Effects from the free card are put on the stack (for cards like Eilyn) or happen immediately (Temple Scribe)
5) A Destiny'd copy of Invoke the Waystones is drawn
6) A card is drawn (from Destiny). Repeat from step 2.
So in essence for every 6 cards in your deck, 4 cards are discarded, 1 card is played, and 1 card is drawn until the deck is exhausted.
How to play the deck
Redraw for a hand with preferably with Pledge + Diogo. With this configuration of the deck it is imperative to have the Pledge online, and I would even go down to 6 cards looking for it. The first order of business is to find
Diogo Málaga, Elonze and amplify for at least one. Once you have amplified Diogo, you need to either draw
Invoke the Waystones naturally (the hard way) or find a
Jennev Merchant for
Celestial Omen Then, you draw your deck, and are left with no cards in deck and a warning that you're about to lose the game! Fear not, for a
Lumen Reclaimer from the market restocks your deck complete with the Destiny'd Invoke the Waystones. From there, you can play units until you have a full board and sacrifice the Lumen Reclaimer to put additional copies in your deck so that you don't just lose. With a full board and the ability to replenish it every turn, you frequently overwhelm your opponent's resources, but you can also win with a huge Temple Artisan with Savagery or with multiple Eilyn shots to your opponent's face.
The backup plan of
Temple Artisan,
Eilyn, the Rising Storm, or even just
Invoke the Waystones turn after turn can work if the opponent isn't applying ample pressure.

Equivocate

Deepforged Plate
Lumen Reclaimer
Main wincon, makes it so that you don't just die.
Savagery
Alt wincon, when paired with Temple Artisan.
Odds and Ends
-Always pledge turn 1.
-Be patient before going for the Omen -> Invoke; if you don't have power up after the Celestial Omen, it is possible to fizzle. The more time you have to set it up, the better.
-
Bear Guard Bayonet on
Temple Artisan is pretty good as an alt wincon.
