Was gone for a year but Rakano Valkyries is my favorite archetype. Some questions:

I guess the main one, is the deck now slower or faster than when Cookbook + Red merchants and 7 cost Icaria? It's a little hard for me to gauge how fast the ground blockers are. I'm guessing faster since no more bulletshaper + privilege of rank shenanigans. But then the complete lack of main deck removal confuses me.

Is SST not a thing anymore? Noticed Vanquish got nerfed like crazy and also no Vanquisher's Blade here.

Did Xo replace Cauldron Cookbook?

Is just barely good enough now that it's so much harder to trigger his lifesteal in this midrange deck? I guess he's one of the very few ways to attack sites available to Valks.

I would argue that the deck is much faster now than previous iterations, not faster to rush icaria, but faster to just get the opponent dead with cards like Platemaker beefing up Siraf and Marley. Siraf + Platemaker can really get out of hand quickly.

To your second point, the deck has defiance, torch, Riz, and finest hour as removal. Marley and Enforcer act as disruption keeping the opponents units silenced, like SST, which is not played often anymore.

Cookbook is too slow and durdly so Xo has replaced the Book, but the biggest reason to not run the book is Prideleader just eating most relics.

The biggest appeal for Rakano Valks over another icaria deck right now, in my opinion, is Baby Icaria and Rolants Intervention making Big Icaria a 6/6 to win the Icaria wars as well as surviving Stormhalt Knife which is huge right now. Being able to reapply aegis is also a big plus with a lot of Harsh Rules
