This is a fairly standard Armory list updated to use cards from Omens of the Past.
Armory is a control deck based around Relic Weapons, removal spells, and recurring threats from the void. The basic idea is to trade resources with your opponent until both players are at a low amount of cards, and then resolve a
Smuggler's Stash to get back a lot of your resources and win the game from there. You are also at an advantage against opponents with non-burn removal spells, as there aren't many good units in your deck to target with those spells. Against decks that don't commit a lot of resources to the board, or are crammed full of removal spells, you can just beat your opponent to death with a weapon.
Omens of the Past gave Armory a gift in
Slay. Previously, the worst possible unit to see on the other side of the board was something with 3 or less attack and a high amount of health. Those units dodged both
Vanquish and
Torch and were usually healthy enough to avoid being killed with a weapon. The most commonly seen of these units were
Feln Bloodcaster and
Combrei Healer. Now, if you're against a deck that's trying to block, you can just
Slay their unit and keep on swinging.
Reforge is good in the situations where
Smuggler's Stash is only mediocre. Some games you just don't draw a lot of units to get back, so powering up a weapon - especially something like
Charchain Flail - is great.
