Information

Last week's promo, Proof of the Journey, is finaly on EWC, so I can share my favourite list with it. This deck tries to get a lot of different battle skills, most importantly aegis, flying, berserk, double damage and overwhelm, into the void to then win by buffing a unit with Ruffian/Steyer's Eyes/weapons from Priestess/Withstand from Palace/Proof of the Journey and all the battle skills from Honor the Fallen to win with one big swing. The deck can definitely lose to itself and hate cards, but it still performed decently well so far (18:7 on ladder).

In the early game you mostly play like a normal midrange deck, with decent standalone 2- and 3-drops, but you also try to set-up your void with all your discard effects and get your combo pieces from the market (although in some matchups it's more important to get reactive cards like Pristine first and against control, especially control with a lot of fast speed removal, it can be better to get palace first because it's less fragile than Honor and can also win you games almost by itself).

Some important interactions:
- Know when to hold'em can grab Mistveil Drake if you are afraid of hand hate/burn damage/relic removal..., Porter if you just want extra discard/market fodder, Priestess if you want a weapon from a discard or Aika or Icaria if you have ways to discard them because those two have the most important battle skills for Honor. Against aggro you can also draw Kodosh Evangel, which gives you a justice influence and more importantly lifesteal in void if you discard it. An endurance + aegis + lifesteal flying unit won me a few games against aggro after I almost died to the early onslaught.
- Journey can feel clunky sometimes, but it can accelerate your discards immensely (especially with cards like Gustrider, Honor of Claws or Know when to hold'em + Porter) and sometimes give you free value with Priestess or Privilege discards (which both also trigger Journey again).
- The buff from Journey is very achievable, at least against slower decks, and it works well with the passive ability of Palace (almost all your units get aegis from it). It gets even easier with 2 Journeys, but be careful with big draw effects then, sometimes I almost milled myself to death.
- You don't need Icaria in void to win from hand, if your opponent has a unit on field Ruffian buff + Honor with Overwhelm + Killer + Double Damage in void will also be enough most of the times.
- The big hate cards you lose to are Tocas, Waystone Harvester, Grand Suppressor and Deans' Chamber. For the first you have a lot of answers, so he's usually not a big problem, against Suppressor you need Maveloft or already have the Bring to Justice in hand, against Chamber you just have to adjust and hope that you can win without your market (which is definitely difficult).

A+ for creativity, but not my cup of tea.
