Probably not a new approach at Mono-Time, but a very reliable one. Records are mainly 7-0, 6-1 and the occasional random loss due to perfect draw of AI.
The only really weakness seems to be against Dragon's Den, somehow the AI always seems to get perfect draws IMO here. Within 175 matches i recorded 2 win and 4 losses here. Or maybe its me being stupid against the Den.
Prefect matchups are against:
Kiss of Death - 8 wins, averaging at 8 turns
Studens of Hooru - 9 wins, averaging at 7 turns
Kodosh's Army - 7 wins, 10 turns average
Oathbreakers - 7 wins, 16 turns average (this is one i have to drag along all the time)
The enlightened - 8 wins, 10 turns average
Students of Time - 9 wins, 8 turns average
Prodigal Skills - 6 wins, 7 turns average
Merciless Stonescar - 7 wins, 8 turns average
Within those 175 matches the deck recorded a total win # of 159 and 16 losses (4 of them in the 1st match)
My bad i deleted the part where i recorded the Boss matches... but i think in total there were 15 or 16 complete runs.
Most of the Time it is brainless unit spam, but there's also some nice little Combos which can be a gamechanger while on the losing side, either due to aggro or early bad draw.
Amaran Armadillo +
Emblem of Grodov, makes your
Earth Elemental get Endurance
Amaran Armadillo + Card draw = more Endurance units
Clock of Stolen Hours +
Humbug Swarm, now many might say "OMG you have
Sandstorm Titan, you don't want fliers!"... yea maybe, but its 3 units to fill the board and if for any case SST isn't in play, then you have a few fliers to attack yourself
Starter Hand
Best Choice:
Trail Maker,
Sand Warrior (the more, the merrier) and atleast 2 Power
2nd best choice: Anything with atleast 3 Power and 2x 2 cost units
3rd best choice: 2 Power and atleast 1
Devotee of the Sands + 1x 2 cost unit, make sure to shift your Devotee in this case.
No Go: Anything with less than 2 Power
Considerations:
Seal of Devotion - Eventhough this card is a must have in any Mono deck, it wouldn't really fit into this one here. We already have a lot of card draw, max power and some sigil draw. Also it could just mess up a good starter hand, because you really want to play
Sand Warrior on turn 2, as it applies massive pressure.
Grodov's Stranger - I ran a few runs with him (instead of GG) and yea, he is powerful, but its still 6 Cost, we don't want 6 cost that much. Also
Gentle Grazer is much better here. (I'd put 4 in if I had 4 though)
Lumen Reclaimer - I don't own him/her, so if anyone is interested in testing that, please let me know the results.
Glimpse the Possibilities - Could be extremely powerful if the game drags along. I might try this at some point.
Have fun
Edit 12.04.:
Another 2x 7-0 Runs with:
1. Kodosh's Army - 12 Turns, Elemental Mastery - 10 Turns, Skycrag Blitz - 10 Turns, Army of Justice - 9 Turns, Blackhall Bullies - 14 Turns, The Great Armory - 12 Turns, Limitless Poossibilities - 7 Turns
2. Chilling Touch - 7 Turns, Divided Loyalities - 8 Turns, Forgemasters - 7 Turns, Kosul Heroes - 7 Turns, The Art of War - 9 Turns, None Shall Pass - 14 Turns, Mindeless Aggression - 10 Turns.
Now at 189 Matches at 174 Wins making it a 92% Win Rate and 17 Complete Runs, which would end up in a 63% chance of a complete 7-0 run, which is roughly 2/3.
