Okay, please forgive me for that silly pun. But admit it, Flame Blast has been dead ever since the nerf to Powersurge. In order to enable it, we must ramp to a ridiculous amount of power. I found that Mask of Torment provided the easiest path to 20-25 power, which is usually enough to one-shot your opponent with a single Flame Blast.
To spice things up, we also play 4 copies of Bottoms Up. This card requires only 1 Fire influence and becomes a monster once you ramp up. You can burst your opponent pretty much from full health, and they will never expect it. The rest of the deck is typical Mask stuff: lifegain, Xenan removals (Vara's Choice is particularly good against midrange fatties) and board stall. The Market is also fairly straightforward.
There are few odd choices in the deck, but they make sense in context of the whole concept. Veteran Strategist, for example, both gains life and allows you to gain Fire influence or fix your two main colours, if you need to. It's also a good wall against early aggression. Gathering Lights again has multipurpose: gaining potentially a lot of life and creating tokens to fight other tokens or chump block. I settled on Devastating Setback instead of Sabotage or Mug, since it also can become an expensive Lightning Storm.
Without further ado, try this deck and blast your enemies off their feet!
