This deck is designed to hit a winning percentage for the ladder climb to Masters, at least as I experienced it from the July reset (Masters on 7/07/2019).
It's about beating opponents out using brute value, which Praxis does better than just about any other faction. You might remember 'replaces itself' Praxis being very much a thing a few months ago, and the addition of
Evenhanded Golem really supercharges this strategy, at the relatively small cost of no market and no turn 1 play.
Flex slots here are
Conflagrate as a strictly worse
Torch for most of the game, this could go down or be eliminated in favour of +2
Xenan Initiation, for instance. 2 maindeck passage of Eons looks janky, I know, but it deals with a significant number of irritating situations you can find yourself in on ladder, and you draw so many cards you often just do not care about holding on to a mass silence for a while.
I hope people find success with this list, I certainly have, I think this might be the fastest and easiest monthly climb I have made in a while.
Handling the meta:
Rakano Ramp: This deck is essentially designed to beat Icaria Ramp. Yes and Icaria coming down will suck, but you should be so far ahead on card and board advantage that it won't matter much in the end. Favoured 60/40 at least I would say.
Yetis: A tougher matchup because Yeti builds can go wide quite fast and can keep up with you in terms of aggression early on. I think it is heavily draw dependant for both players. Toss up.
Stonescar: Luckily slower than Yetis and mono-red agro, so you have plenty of time to outvalue them. I have never had a problem.
Mono-red: Can burn you out by turn 4 sometimes, whatcha gonna do? Otherwise just block, prioritise hands with lots of early bodies, and see how the chips fall.
Combrei: This is a slug fest. You straight up lose to Telut, but otherwise it is whomever curves out better, and you outvalue everything other than a mystic ascendant.
