Currently testing with a 77% winrate (34-10) through to diamond I.
Jennev Merchant has done a lot for the deck. The introduction of
Teacher of Humility into the metagame, especially given its popularity right now, necessitates answers such as
Annihilate. The market, in addition to
Herald's Song, makes
Annihilate less of a liability than it used to be. The merchant also adds some consistency to the influence of the deck as well, and presents as an early blocker against aggro, and even
Teacher of Humility on the play. It also slightly increases our winrate against Icaria Blue (and other
Starsteel Daisho decks) and
Crystalline Chalice, allowing us to include
Vision of Austerity in the "deck". It's possible that there should be three Merchants in the deck, especially since drawing multiples isn't a huge liability.
As far as the market itself goes, I'm not sure if
Aid of the Hooru is necessary, as
Celestial Omen fills a similar role, but it is the best non-unit Primal wincon past
Channel the Tempest #4.
I briefly tested
End of the Story over
Stray into Shadow, but felt there were too many
Dawnwalkers around to not play it. This might be too results-based a decision, however, given that we have
Bring Down and
Feeding Time as ways to deal with that particular card. It may be correct to play
End of the Story right now and is almost certainly correct when the metagame shifts away from the Time midrange decks as people figure out how to build other decks. This shift is already starting, even.
The deck is also just a blast to play. Market 11/10 mechanic.
