Information

I know, I know. Sling of the Chi is not good in the current meta. It seems that the good people at Direwolf immediately recognized Sling could potentially be too powerful, and so they made sure players had a lot of ways to deal with it. In addition to allowing for an abundance of relic hate, they've left Justice Aegis-buff strategies (i.e. various Kira-based decks) untouched and even introduced a hard counter in the form of Dichro's Ruin.

However, if you insist on playing Sling (because it's such a fun and powerful strategy), here's a new build for you:
- Time is the main color/Faction, as we want to get the most out of our powerful 4-cost and 5-cost units, all of which have at least 6 Attack and 6 Heath. Hence, even when we don't have a target to deal 6 damage to, we can still draw at the end of the turn with the secondary Sling effect.
- Our secondary color/Faction is Primal, which helps us make Cobalt Waystone and Helio, the Skywinder more reliable. Once you have 2 Fire and 4 Time Influence, you go for Primal Influence.

Dichro's Ruin is not much of a problem if you play Rost, as it comes back. In fact, if the opponent has several units in play, Rost will kill them all and deal massive damage to their face. I think the best build for this deck is going deep in blue for Rost, taking advantage of both cylixes (and probably not playing power that can't produce blue, although that is debatable).

I've experimented with base Primal, base Time, and a mix of Fire, Primal, and Time. My problem with base Primal Sling decks is that there are no good 4-cost Unit options. Guardian of Spring often backfires- especially if you can't fit in Siege Breaker to help ameliorate the impact of Eye of Winter. One turn makes all the difference against aggro.
