This is a deck I concocted at the end of last season. I played around with it for a bit, and this is the current iteration, made to deal with the increase in Justice decks. I'm open to hearing suggestions and if you have any questions, let me know. As of right now, I'm about 50% in Gold 3 while playing this list. While that's not suuuuper amazing, its enough indication that the deck is playable, and we'll be seeing just how far I can take it.
Cryptic Master: Used to be
Teacher of Humility because teacher almost always died immediately, her effect didn't have that much of an impact as this deck really grinds out the game, and Master just suited the deck better overall as a big beater that provided some card filtering.
Vault of the Praxis: Part of what makes the engine run in this deck. There are lots of ways to get free creatures onto the board and you really want to dig as deep as you can to fight through boardwipes and find your removal.
Xenan Obelisk: I consider this card to be the main wincon after my playtesting. You stall up the board with units that don't benefit the opponent for swinging in to until you said units are getting +4/+4 and suddenly your board of chump blockers just ended the game.
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker: Even after the nerf, shes still good. All the nerf really did as far as this deck is concerned is make her die to torch, but that's alright. Her main function is breaking Aegis and you'll mostly just be holding her until you need that effect. If your opponent isn't playing something that would require Aegis breaking, using her to eat removal or gain some life are both excellent uses.
Burglarize: I imagine this is the most head-scratching card in the deck. While almost exclusively reserved for the Market, I find that Burglarize can do a lot of work. It hits Martyr's Chains, Sediti's Curse, any Relic Weapons, and whatever Jank your opponent may be playing, be it Crown, Knucklebones, or an aggro deck that brought out Flamestoker (this one isn't necessarily jank mind you, just fringe). I don't want 4 copies of it because it can be dead, but having access to multiples can get you autoconcedes to opponents who have just tilted out. This could alternatively be
Disjunction though I haven't seen a whole lot of relic removal lately. Additionally, it could be
Deathstrike to give you more chances to kill their threats while you build up to the grand finale.
Whispers in the Void: This is the last card I want to talk about in the deck. It gives you free bodies to fuel your Vault, and they are the best chump blockers in the game, because eventually they'll kill your opponent. This is the engine I had in mind when building the deck and its a lot of fun to watch the crushing card advantage as my opponent realizes that I'm not going to stop drawing cards any time soon, and each turn is going to be another 1-3 Spitelings. Only 3 copies in the deck because like
Burglarize you don't want to see very many until you need them/are ready to play them.
