Information

Hello everyone, Rokoku here and I believe I have found the answer for anyone that hates Peaks, FJS, and aggro. This deck does NOT care about Slay, Avigraft, Vanquish, Display of Instinct, Permafrost or just about anything else because you will not run out of threats. If they Avigraft Journey Guide or Dusk Raider they just wasted their card. My wins have almost always come by the 10th turrn because you just generate threats and value so fast that those darn removal piles simply cannot trade 1 for 1 with you.

Deck currently is 20-7 with 3 flood losses to FJS. Your only FJS threat is Vara, if they remove your small bodies then your big units are free to go to work. Equivocate is pretty much your only Vara answer and should be saved if you see shadow.

Berserked or reduced cost Cykalis and Jotun Feast-Caller is insane. Praxis Arcanum + Teacher shuts down FTP Peaks.

Still needs tuning, would be great if anyone wants to take it for a spin. Still trying to find the best shell for Post, and this shell reliably gets it off on time but you don't even need it. Post at worst is a 1-2 power mill if you lose it, and if you get Torgov out then the opponent has another threat to worry about.

Edit: Words

Edit 2: Tuning

Edit 3: More words

Shout out to The_Hierophant for suggesting that I add Teachers and I fixed the power to adjust for it. Also removed one Mirror Image in favor of the 4th Jotun again. Mirror Image is good but you would much rather have more threats.

scavenger Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Why do you run Winter's Grasp in the market if I may ask? It does not seem that you have enough Nightfall triggers to keep the stun going, or am I missing something? Also, I was thinking of replacing second sight, do you think the synergy is strong enough? Thanks in advance for any answers.
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Winter's Grasp is a sort of emergency panic button to get some more damage through. Often, the extra damage and nightfall for even one turn is enough.

Second Sight has synergy with Clockroach in case you need blockers or are trying to go more on the offensive (or simply need cards), and also has synergy with Journey Guide and Dusk Raider with giving a unit Berserk or reducing its cost further. You can try Strategize if you want, but especially after landing Torgov's Post, you likely won't be dumping any of your cards
scavenger Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Makes sense, although I wonder if there might be a better market card for winter's grasp (Scorpion Wasp maybe?)! I will take your deck for a spin and see how it works for me. I have only one copy of Sandstorm Titan, any suggestions on replacements?
PS: Appreciate the friendliness and willingness to share with the community! Keep up the great work!
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Wasp is a nice option, since it counters opposing SST and other endurance/aegis units that dodge Winter's Grasp. I went with Grasp because it helps counter Vara, the deck's biggest weakness in that she not only trades for your unit but also gains 5 life too. If you encounter more endurance units (which tends to happen when Maul decks are more popular) then you can switch to Wasp. A great replacement for SST is Moonstone Vanguard, a rare :) I actually used it before, the key thing is that it dodges Permafrost and Winter's Grasp. Unfortunately, it dies to Gun Down which affects your FTP and other Peaks matchups but should be negligible. I would recommend running 1 SST and 3 MV in your case, since you would then be more resilient to Avigraft. Thank you for your kind words, they make me work harder to keep finding fun things to brew :)
scavenger Edited Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Thanks again for your answer! Moonstone Vanguard is a great idea, I will try it. Yesterday I played a couple of rounds with a slightly modified deck using Resolute Monk for some additional early aggression. Seems to work well as another role playing unit that draws early removal, but it is a bit of a dead draw once you are topdecking. I am still considering to replace Second Sight with more gas, because Journey Guide and Dusk Raider seem to almost never stick to the board when I have Second Sight in my hand, and then I always wish I had drawn more gas ;-). Anyway, keep up the great work, I am super happy to see a non-meme deck that utilizies clockroach, plus the community can always use more friendly people!
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
If you find those issues with Second Sight, Strategize or Wisdom of the Elders are great replacements, I prefer Second Sight simply because it fits my style more. Resolute Monk is a great budget substitution, and I'm glad you're having success and fun with the deck! Teacher is always going to be bettr in this deck as just a better overall threat vs control due to those late game gas issues you mentioned, but Monk is definitely still playable. And yes, I will never stop trying to make Clockroach work :-)
scavenger Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Just to clarify: I am running Resolute Monk next to Teacher, as an additional early threat. I don't think you can replace Teacher in a time-aggro shell with anything ;-). I will experiment a bit with other cards in Second Sight's place. Keep up the great work!
Scarecrow9black Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Cykalis is an awesome aggro tool but I currently only have one and was wondering your thoughts on an acceptable replacement?
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Unfortunately, Cykalis is such an easy 10 damage (5 from the first attack opponents rarely block and 5 from the next attack) that he's hard to replace. Cykalis is also a key pledge powersource to help you get to TT reliably, so I don't see any replacement. I would probably hold off for now, but you can't go wrong with crafting Cykalis if you have the opportunity, he fits into more than one deck :)
JTJag Eternal Version: 1.42.2
I know Post is pretty critical to this deck's gameplan, but if I don't have 4 yet is it still worth playing? What's the replacement?
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Post is key to fixing the consistency and make you draw your bombs easier. I would probably swap them for strategize as it's the closest thing to helping you dump extra power. The downside of that is that you then may be more prone to dying to aggro because many people remove Post immediately, "saving" your health. Try i and see how it goes!

"3 flood losses to FJS" Keepo
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Yeah I fixed the powerbase after those losses. Diplo seals have definitely helped with influence screw but sometimes dropping Post too early hurts :) Still trying to learn the lines of the deck
Seedyjee Eternal Version: 1.42.2
brutal deck. I feel like everytime I play you I might as well just concede.
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Haha good games against you, I had some pretty nutty draws but yeah I would not want to play against this deck
Velsevul Eternal Version: 1.42.2
And if they Avigraft Clockroach? Also why not to put Disjunction in the market?
Rokoku Eternal Version: 1.42.2
If they avigraft clockroach, they miss out on Cykalis, SST, and JFC. Clockroach is removal/market fodder that gets out of hand if unanswered. I tried Disjunction in the market, but Passage was often better especially if you get Avigrafted more than once which has happened. Passage also just straight wins games vs multiple deadly/lifesteal units and I got wrecked by a rat deck so it's probably leftover salt from that :)
