Strengths and Weaknesses:
Weak to aggro, midrange time, and armory.
Skycraggro is an even match-up due to their units trading 1:1 with this deck's low end warp units.
Strong against slower decks across the board.
Temporal control is auto win if nothing disastrous happens.
Tips and rationale:
This deck gets extra value out of crests, so save them for later in the game when safe to do so.
The addition of merchants has bumped this deck's power up significantly. The main goal is A New Tomorrow combo'd into instant diogo activation next turn affording us 5+ charge double damage units per turn. Without this combo we can end up struggling against lots of board sweepers + weapon style control.
Scarf solves this deck's exaggerated weakness to fliers due to the lack of SST. Valkyrie tend to be a little too healthy to trade 1:1 with however, so plan ahead how you're going to use your torches. Pouncing drake with journeyman armorer's weapon can trade with icaria, assuming they are out of removal.
Lumen reclaimer dosnt see much play, but is responsible for a win every 20 games or so. She's a flex slot filler, so feel free to replace her(Novaquake titan is value against tokens decks, wasp helps with icaria and feln control that get champion out early).
Workshop forge looks worse than it is. Let's say you have 6 power and a cinder yeti on top of the deck. You could play the yeti and torch something, or play the forge to get a 1 cost yeti and the blink wolf, and the alluring ember, ect. If you arnt immediately going to die because you played it, the chump blockers you can run out will push you toward your combo and keep you safe. Discounted(or free) HOTV are gross.
It's a mandatory play to turn on game sounds and listen to Diogo's activation.
2019 edit: decks have become so polarized in the past few expansions that you have to just get lucky to not get run over early, then slap down big bads. Still doing work on ladder with it. The number of people who mouse over the rhinarc huntpack is well over 50%. It eats tavrods, icarias, SSTs, you name it. Just make sure to warp when possible.
