I usually feel more comfortable playing control decks, but I wanted a fast deck for farming gauntlets. However, low-curve decks tend to become more and more unstable the longer the game goes on, and unstable decks don't win 7 games in a row. Working on this premise, this is what I came with:
Game plan
You want to hit hard and fast as for any aggro strategy, but you don't need to play it all in one go. If your move is too risky, you can wait and play more efficiently later, as this deck has options for late-game.
The best way to gain value early on is through card advantage as this deck has multiple ways of drawing cards by turn 3, this is to better assure you can drop power each turn.
The ideal way to grow value then, is with
The Throne Room, as landing your 3rd hit with it will make the rest of the game way easier. If you can't do that,
Levitate,
Jekk, Mercenary Hunter and
Gravity Field should help on squeezing the last points of damage needed to win. If all that is not enough,
Sashenka of Kosul can do wonders to stabilize the battlefield.
Tips & tricks
-The best moment to play
The Throne Room is if you have a sure hit on the same turn to grow your units right away.
-
Deuces Wild will have a bonus if you play it with a copy on the void and
Gravity Field will give a bonus when discarded, so both are good fodder for
Torq, Ballistics Crafter (or
Jekk, Mercenary Hunter if you're in a pinch).
-Your ideal starting hand has a playable
Plunk Wumpkin on 2 and
The Throne Room on 3.
-If you're thinking of cutting cards, I'd pick
Searing Fist or
Torq, Ballistics Crafter, as they're the least important cards on the deck.
This deck is still not perfect but I'm satisfied with it. Feel free to experiment and share your suggestions/improvements on the comments.
