Rakano deck built for high consistency in Gauntlet
What makes a consistent gauntlet deck?
Low curve, efficient units
You want lots of low cost units to contest the board early. The aggro plan of killing your opponent before they do anything is a tried and true plan.
Ways to mitigate power flood AND screw
Nothing kills a gauntlet run faster than having too many or too few power cards. We have lots of ways to draw power when we need it as well as outlets when we have too much of it.
A plan to scale
A gauntlet deck should have a plan to close out games when they go late. For this, we have warcry, flying units, and huge closers in the market like Pisto and Deepforged plate.
A buffer for failure
Sometimes your draws will go sour and you will struggle to finish off your opponent. While you'll primarily to finish games quickly with an aggro strategy scaling with warcry, lifesteal is an excellent way to buy you time to draw out of a bad situation.
Substitions
This deck is built with a nearly complete collection, something that new players grinding gauntlet won't have. However, the principles work the same and Rakano is filled with units at the common and uncommon slot that fulfill the requirements mentioned above.
If I had to prioritize crafts and campaigns,
Steyer's Eyes and
Red Canyon Smuggler are probably the most impactful and also played in many Throne decks. Nothing in the market is a must have, but you should keep a power source, a big finisher, and a removal spell (eg.vanquish)
