Reached Master with this deck January 2024 so it certainly has some legs. Don't really see a lot of renown compared to other decks in the format as it is underpowered compared to hunt, recruit and big time decks. I really enjoyed playing this one as it can run away with games very quickly if left unchecked. The basic goal of the deck is to suit up your renown and/or aegis units with weapons and swing with those units to end the game.
Units
Warrenborn Mistral: Has a nice home in this deck with both Aegis & Flying (evasion is really important on threats in this deck).
Glorious Mistral: I tried a few other options in this slot before landing on this card. I like the fact that it can give flying to your other ground units when it attacks. The
Inspire spellcraft can be relevant later in the game to draw into a threat and buff it.
Glory Seeker: Draws removal a lot of the time, but that is ok. Just a good on theme card for this deck.
Quinn, Skullhaven Warden: Another early Aegis unit that is best used to buff your evasive units with Aegis. Just remember that her renown can't be used to trigger renown on other cards.
Skullhaven Tinker: This is better in the midgame when you can play it and renown in the same turn to get another unit back. Having said, if it is your only play, run it out.
Bartholo, the Seducer: This is the only legendary in the deck and I would highly recommend having this as a 4 of to have any success with the deck. Its your best weapon target and even has a late game power sink with his ultimate to get you a weapon.
Unseen Commando: Not every unit in the deck takes advantage of this card's ability, but its still a solid threat if left unchecked. Could see running anywhere for 2-4 of these.
Zadia, Fearsome Outcast: This card has been a pleasant surprise. Being able to turn off a troublesome blocker or a threatening attacker is very good.
Attachments & Spells
Bloodletter: Really great stat boost for the cost. Lifesteal, even for a turn, can save you.
Monarch Cloak: Best weapon in the deck. It really does everything you need. Really nice that you can also search with Bartholo.
Reusable Femur: So versatile (yes I know that is the point). I typically like to kill a unit with the first weapon and then equip with the second weapon to trigger renown.
Mantle of Justice: This gets so beefy as the game goes longer and longer and make a lot of the non-shadow removal ineffective against you.
Feed the Hecaton: So full disclosure, this card completely wrecks you when played by the opponent. If you see a shadow influence, then try and not overcommit if you can. Losing 2 units and 2 weapons to this card is a bad time. The good news is the card is actually really nice for you to clear blockers.
Hope y'all enjoy this build and let me know what other cards have worked well for you in the archetype.
