I never figured I'd see the day where we had an aggro deck with recursion, lifegain, and card draw. BUT HERE WE ARE! This is a surprisingly interactive aggro deck. On to how to play it!
Swing and don't really worry about blocking. You have
Xenan Lifespeaker and
Cabal Standard to make sure you're ok (the quickdraw is better than blocking for this deck anyways). Getting life back is to keep you safe since 8 of your units can't block.
Removal is all cheap and very efficient. You have
Annihilate, and
Desecrate. You have the
Madness,
Devour synergy once you get to five. This deck should have
Permafrost in there too. I explain later why it's only in the market.
Oizio, Adaptive Spy, is there to pair with all the cheap removal you have. Or she's nice if you have the mana after they use
Defiance or
Vanquish. You can get some very good value out of her. Just remember that you don't get summon activations with her.
The powerbase needs a little bit of tweaking, but it's getting close. No seek power leaves lots of room for Waystones. Not sure if this is the best bet so far, but we'll find out. Plus you have
Rhysta, Acantha's Herald to make up for only running 25 power.
Important info regarding cards that should be in the deck! -->Right now, there is 1
Rindra, the Duskblade and 2
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker because this is what my collection has. Rindra is a better fit with this deck. When I have 4 of her, she'll be the main 4 drop. I'll bump up the number of
Permafrost as well since right now, Vara and Permafrost are not buddies.
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker will replace
Steward of the Past in the market.
Speaking of... The market is currently focused on the same thing the deck is. CHEAP with a single 5 cost card to be used as a finisher if needed.
Please drop any ideas you have for feln aggro!
As always, enjoy the deck and I hope you destroy me with it on the Ladder.
I've been playing Eternal for a month or so and I've been using this deck almost exclusively since you posted it on Reddit. It's taken me from Bronze to Gold 1 (90+/100).
I was hoping you might have some suggestions on how to upgrade it to take it to the next level? Some edits I've made;
*I've take one card out from Dusk Raider, Territorial Elf and Rhystra, Xenan Lifespeaker to add x4 Ripknife Assassins (I'm constantly changing these guys around to try different things)
*I've added 2 Rindras and 2 Champions of Cunning as my main 4 drops.
*In the Market I've swapped out Steward of the Past with Vara
*Added x1 Withering Witch in market instead of permafrost.
*Taken out a copy of Devour, Madness and annihilate and replaced with x3 permafrost.
Can you please tell me what you think of my changes? Also can you tell me what changes you might make to this deck?
I feel like Ripknife Assassians can be swapped out but I'm not sure with what? This deck goes pound for pound with many decks but if the game extends too long and they've removed/disabled my main 4 drops (Rindra and Cunning) I'm unable to keep pushing on because I just don't have the stronger muscle power. So perhaps you might be able to suggest something to fill that divide? Maybe x4 Stewards of the Past?
Thank you very much for compiling this deck, it's done me well and I'd be grateful for any advice you can share!
Questions so far (since you probably have more experience running this deck than I do)
- what card did you send to the market most
- what card did you pull from the market most
-did vara cause issues running alongside champion
The deck could be tweaked a little and pushed into a more midrange build to help with staying power for sure.
Cutting lifespeaker altogether would open up slots for a better powerbase to play more expensive cards
Power tutors could trim the deck to increase consistency in both power and draws.
Dark return could be prioritized for extra creature staying power and inspire triggers.
Nightfall could be a more thorough theme for chip damage and extra curses.
Plus any info will help me understand playstyle and card preference.
Thank you again!
