Talir combo revived.
First you ramp with learned herbalist/minotaur amabassador, and then talir combo to draw through the deck, making a big vodakhan or ascendant, then play grinva to kill it and them. Devour if you need to kill a second creature for more damage, or to kill them through aegis.
SST currently has no synergies, just a strong anti-aggro card.
Edits: Cut masks, they were never great in multiples and there's no temporal/unitless you need it against. It's still good in the market if you don't have a minotaur or a ramp plan.
Added learned herbalists, they're useful as an early body vs. aggro, and great for ramp. Cut lumen reclaimer, didn't use it enough. You lean more heavily into the combo or bust plan. Also cut a couple of lumen defenders (good vs. skycrag/HH). Raider also gains life vs. aggro, and the herbalists can help a lot.
The find the way in the market is very useful to fix influence or get power for draws off mystic ascendant.
Been playing with some voice of the speakers. More guaranteed combos, sometimes a stupid body vs. aggro, but I'm not wow'ed by it. I might try Alhed again. One of the things that was great about old talir is that sometimes you just got there with big dudes.
But there's 4 desert marshal, and a passage of eons to deal with Statuary Maiden. Also, if I have 4 units in the void, I don't really care too much about Maiden anymore. With the new changes, card selection doesn't matter. Every unit + last chance becomes a draw 1. Often I won't even need to use all 4 last chances. 3 units in the void is enough for me to be confident going off.
