I'm not sure how I feel with Vara being alongside Jennev Merchant and Jotun Feast-Caller? Or is it not that much of a downside?

This depend on how you use her. There is the right time to play it. The right time to play the Aegis. I have my own style and this deck is a little hard to play. The main weakness of use her is against decks with Permafrost. If the opp Permafrost then all my units will lose Aegis. I prefer play the aegis units first then he use double removal on them, then i play Vara OR i play Vara first waiting for removal then play the aegis. If you want, try this deck. You will make few mistakes in the beggining, but is really fun.
