I mostly threw this together to demo the idea because IDK how much I'll develop it. I lost a couple games using a similar deck against Velsuval last night (ggs), then built a new version this morning and played one game on ladder:

That seemed like a pretty good run so I took the list and made this post.

The idea is to use Spiritward Shaman and 8 Merchants to get Champion of Order with Aegis in your hand. This is a lot better than using Protect. The rest is basically a distraction, designed to soften them up for the champ. I picked the units to be good with Aegis off Spiritward Shaman, help you survive, and be threatening enough to use removal on.

The market is pretty thrown together but with the 8 merchant setup I think Champion (duh), Eilyn's Choice, and Vision are pretty good choices. The rest is pretty much just a guess, Spiritward seems important and not something you want to draw unless you need it, and Avigraft is just some more removal.

I'm pretty sure Jotun Hurler is amazing in this deck. 8 Merchants and Strategize means the double card is going to be very useful. Champ is a crazy amount of inevitability so any extra interaction is great, and the poor body is fine because the champ will give you plenty of stats. Plus if you draw him with Spiritward out he's a 5 power 4/4 with Aegis which is pretty much fine.

The deck looks pretty bad on paper, and it probably is But it might be better than it looks because Champion of Order with Aegis is one of if not the strongest "set and forget" wincons in this game, and this deck should be able to get it fairly often. Furthermore it's designed to play the Aegis champ in the situation where he's best, and a big chunk of it is a generic Hooru midrange list that does alright on ladder, so the plan b isn't awful. But it will have a hard time killing them without the champ.

It's hard for me to tell how reliable the Champion wincon is without more games, so I'm not sure if it needs more ways to get the champ (Hooru Stranger?) or more ways to win, or if this is a perfect tier 1 deck that will win the next 50 tournaments. Realistically Champ of Order probably isn't a great wincon no matter what, but I think this is the most viable style of deck to build around him

If you want to improve this deck my next idea is to try having Amilli the main instead of Champion. He's also really good with Aegis, and having a reliable beater that you can win with should help make more room to for the champ. My concern is you might not be able to close out games with only one Champion since the rest deck is weak. I'm pretty sure you'd still need some champs maindeck, but like I said this is my next idea to try. You could also try Feast-caller.

Another idea is Martyr's Chains in market, there's no ramp or extra power but it'd give you a strong non unit wincon that works with all the random small units. Plus the way Chains wins is similar to the how champ wins, so it's easier to build around both.

Or you could add more Inspire cards like Dusk Raider, Temple Shinan, and Howling Trumpeter. I think that's a little too win-more though, I'm guessing the Champion only needs Aegis to win most of the time. But with Vara around adding more enhancements to the champ might be a good idea.
