This is a deck built around
Blow the Dam, using all of Stonescar's tricks to add random cards to the market. Your basic gameplan comes out in three steps.
Step 1: Abuse your market tools.
Xumuc Coercion,
Gentleman Jun D’Angolo, and a boosted
Scrapmetal Fury can all boost your market size.
Step 2: Stall like a mofo. Only pull from the market if not doing so would kill you (which is likely, tbh)
Step 3:
Blow the Dam, empty out the market, hopefully win.
Revision: Added Primal. There's more options for adding stuff to the market and actual card-draw. It's clunky, but it works. Sometimes. Kinda.
Here's what I found and some changes I ended up making:
- The Hookclaw was too expensive and was almost never impactful. I took them out.
- 27 effective power just wasn't enough to reliably get to 8, so I added a couple more Seeks and one extra power, bumping it to 30. This maybe could get bumped up 1 or 2 more, but flooding feels bad, so not sure.
- I didn't like the influence requirements of Wisdom, so I slotted in Strategize and increased shadow/reduced primal.
- I found the shadow market and Vine Grafter more resilient (also, it doesn't apply redundant decay to the Fury). Added Nectar of Unlife and Shadowcreeper to the market to replace the red cards. Rubber-banding Nectar with Scrounger is quite fun! With the Tesseract in play, it gets ridiculous.
- Ended up adding an extra Scrounger for the full playset
- Added an additional Siege Supplier and removed 1 Pathcutter and 1 Coercion.
Thanks again for submitting this! I've been wanting to try out a solid deck with Blow the Damn!
