Nothing odd around here (even black discard)

Information

Source: This deck is based on even shadow discard.

Type/Play style: This nonsense is surprisingly versatile. You can play a control game with all the removal, card draw and long term plan to gradually mill your opponent with Mournful Deathcap or to go to 10/12 power and ult Dreamsnatcher. Two Solitude after some spells/removal will usually do the trick as well, but you will need to draw into them.
You also have a hefty unit package (that supports recursion with Memory Dredge). Almost all of your units are solid in early-mid game and still strong in a late game. That forces your opponent to waste removal even on your 2-drops and because you have insane amounts of card draw, you should be able to out-value them or punch them with Vara.

Against aggro, you should be able to play a comfortable mid range game and if you can stick one of your lifesteal unit you should be fine. Permafrost can out tempo you, but if the game takes longer, you can still make use of the unit with Devour. Torch is also a pain, because it can get rid of your lifestealers, but if you spare some power for a nice Corrupt, you can get an instant win. Note: If you are first and see Oni Rhonin on turn one, do not hesitate and use a Desecrate. The lost live is usually worth it and they will lose more tempo than you because of onslaughter

Performance: I got to masters with this baby with 11:5. I have not done much fine tuning.

Usage: Do not use this deck! Especially not if you are a new player. Even though some of the cards are good to have (Var, Vengance-Seeker), most of them are played very rarely.

Cards:

Heartstopper: This card is here mainly for the memes. There is only one copy, because to make it work, you pretty much need [cardMournfulDeathcap][/card] on the board. If you have only one, the chance that you can use it once you draw it is pretty high (~80%). My personal favorite is to hit Marshal Ironthorn with In Cold Blood while this is on the board, and mill the hell out of them with the empower.

Corrupt: This card is awesome. You can not really play around it (nobody plays it, so nobody plays around it anyways), but it can do massive swings with removal, and can protect you from Mau. There is a lot, it can not protect you against, but the feeling of confusion when you redirect Vars's Choice is just priceless.

Fenris Nightshade: This is an unlimited card draw, that is also an unit. Worst case, you can cycle through this on turn 5. Best case, it stops Grenadines and draws you tons of cards once you stabilized. The 3 life usually does not hurt, because you have enough lifesteal. And you have something to do with that odd floating mana.

Memory Dredger: This is a must kill for your opponent. Otherwise, you have infinite amount of blockers that can grow. Bringing back ulted Dreamsnatcher usually wins you the game (or at least make you not die).

Back-Alley Deliquent: This is the weakest card in the deck and is the main candidate for replacements. The only reason I have it here is that I expected to run into more Invoke nonsense, that can be slowed/stopped by this. Otherwise it is hard to hit something relevant. This card still works reasonably well with the rest (can be recursed, nice blocker, good devour target, discards things that can be recursed), but I feel it could be improved.

Going red. There is a bunch of decks on the ladder with similar ideas, that add red and play Black Iron Manacles. I think it is weird. That card helps, if your plan is to kill the opponent with damage. That is usually not your plan. If they discard/play enough cards, you can wipe them with Solitude. However you run into trouble with depleted power and hitting two black influence for early Dreamsnatcher or Desecrate. Finally, you can not use Seal of Devotion. That card is amazing. It is pretty much a free Wisdom of the Elders (wisdom costs 3 power and a card and you can expect to get a card and a power card, this thing cost 0 power and 0 cards and gets you a power card).

Would love to try to squeeze an Umbren Occluder or two into this list. Though it might not perform that well. Perhaps dropping the Heartstopper and the Back Alley Delinquent for 3 of them would be reasonable.

if you want to swap back alley go for Street UrchinThen
PidgeonHolt Eternal Version: 1.46.9
