Learned Herbalist : is the key card to discard your sentinels in early game and take it back with Stirring Sand.
Moonstone Vanguard : it's a monster!. It provide a lot of draw and sustain.
Temple Scribe : i prefer scribe over Teacher of Humility for cycling card.

This is a nice alteration of Sifar's sentinel reanimator list. I like the inclusion of pompous historian, seems great in this shell! I'll have to give the list a go once I can afford a playset of HotV.

Reanimate Sentinel deck was a great deck but very dependent on Reanimator cards. It must played shadow power for the few discard mechanics (added Quarry and Blackalley). Atm with pompous you can play like a midrange deck with a support of stirring sand. Pompous and Learner are enough for discard system. The new sentinel give you a lot of draw and sustain something that was missing before ^_^

So after playing a bunch of games with the deck, here are my 2 cents on the subject. The deck is really fun and for prob. the first time its actually competitive. Still have a few issues tho. For one, might be just my luck, mana happens to be an issue more often then i would like to when it comes to opening hands. And second, i feel like Disj. and Passage seems very redundant, instead i feel like the market could use a discard option in it. Any suggestions on that?

Passage of Eons is the key cards vs some decks. It's a Aoe silence who can beat deck like vara+caiphus / Dark alessi / Azindels deck and it's very strong vs Temporal control. When the opponent bait out your disjunction on an excavate or a second sword of sky king you have lost if u don't got it.
i think market is a personal choice ^_^ then you put in it what you want.

I really like this. Playing it a little bit in Casual, since I already got 4 Moonstone Vanguard from Packs and Forge games and was lookign for a deck that uses it. Really liking it. I've got only one SST, one Great-Kiln Titan and no HotV, though. Any tips on budget replacements? I am currently using Powerbreach Sentinel and Infused Guardian, which are great if taking of, because Guardian's buff from Empower is permanent. But one less trigger for Dawnwalker. Not really sure on these.

HotV are impossible to replace :/. They are the core of the deck but If u have the last campain you can play the sentinel 5\7 with charge or infused guardian. For the replace of Great Kiln you can play Sentinel of Amar ( Empower: play a sentinel 5\5 ). If you play small creature then the original decklist you can insert 2x Xenan Obelisk ( good sinergy with pompous ).
