TPS Vara-Cleaver Mid [Master October 2018]

Made Masters with another TPS deck. Vara, Vengeance-Seeker is very good, and a huge upgrade from Rindra, the Duskblade in previous versions of the deck. Dark Return + Vara decks have been cropping up a lot, and here it functions as a very strong gameplan for the deck.

What sets this deck off from the other Dark Return + Vara decks is the access to Cirso's Cleaver as a trump in the midrange mirrors. The Cleaver is amazing at breaking board stalls and getting rid of recurring Varas. It also helps Jotun Feast-Caller get around bigger bodies.

Feast-Caller + Dark Return is basically your plan against Control, and its usually pretty strong. You just have to be careful and manage your Varas accordingly, as getting Caller Annihilate'd can basically feel like game over.

Overall the deck is pretty solid, and the gameplay is technical and enjoyable. Definitely not the best deck out there, but I keep coming back to it and it usually works out.
