Hi Folks,

This deck quite obvious, efficient and cheap (NOT A SINGLE LEGENDARY)

Well here is the story of the deck and how it works:

- as everybody at Defiance release, I felt in love with Hojan, Crownbreaker and started playing it in two of my favourite archetypes: Big Combrei and Aggro Combrei. But the meta is so filled with these combrei shits, particularly since posting of Face Combrei including Hojan, Crownbreaker and Resolute Monk that I was sick with it, could'nt play it anymore.

- I love so much the empower mechanism, that I reviewed the overall empower cards, and saw a bunch of shadow elves with empower mechanisms, and particularly Direwood Slasher that seems to be super interesting, because combrei face/aggro lacks a turn 1 empower unit in addition to District Infantry to make sure that you are going to be pretty quickly to 3 units attacking to activate Siraf's Beacon. So this first elf was definitely a must use in a 3 colours Kerendon new type.

- then I bumped in Rhysta, Acantha's Herald, and fuck yeah! this is astonishing, empower + summon=you draw a sigil. How the fuck nobody is playing it in some empower aggro styles decks?

- last but not least, looking at the shadow+time+justice new card with alternative possibilities, hell yeah, this has been done by game designers thinking of this deck: Display of Vision is just THE killer card, allowing you to transform a power card into a fast spell. Yeah, I did not pay attention to it at release of Defiance, opening my packs, but this is definitely what it does. It is a fast spell allowing you to play a power card from your deck.

So how does it work? Well, you put as much empower creatures on the board as you can + if possible a Siraf's Beacon, you attack, you get empowered by Siraf's Beacon and once your opponent defends thinkings the empowerement has already been done by the power you put on board previous to attacking, you actually punch him in the face in last minute by playing Display of Vision, empowering your units once again, but as a fast spell effect and so big surprise.

On top of that, with 4 or 5 manas you can add a Finest Hour, a Lock Horns or both, specifically on a Hojan, Crownbreaker to make him renown and get an additional empowerement >>> That's GG mother fuckers!

MaKK4Q Eternal Version: 1.42
Update 3 : I played 2 hours this evening with this deck at level 900-700 in legend. Pretty fun but in facts not such a huge win rate. I counted, 12 wins, 10 lose. Not so astonighing. However quick games so I think at lower levels in ladder it is a good deck to climb up quickly, also since no brainer, face, face, face, really easy to play.

Update 2 : Last Rites does not go well, and Rapid Shot is better than Lock Horns to have a bit of board control and to pump up a Hojan, Crownbreaker or a Direwood Slasher, so let's go for 4 Rapid Shot!

Someone ask then deleted a very interesting comment : «  hey ive been experimenting a very similar deck. Have you considered rapid shot over lock horns? it seems like itd be a better card to run if you want to trigger Hojan's renown. Or tome of repetition, which triggers renown and can play even more power in one «

> regarding Rapid Shot, I made my choice for Lock Horns based on mana cost. I want to kill asap, at turn 4 or 5 is best option to avoid harsh rule which is a synonym of lose, so the difference of 1 vs 2 mana cost is significant, as i can play Lock Horns turn 4 in addition to a Siraf's Beacon for example.

> Tome of Repetition is a no brainer to me in this deck. Usefull only at turn 4 to trigger spellcraft, too late.

Actually since a few games I am experimenting an alternative version with 2 Last Rites and 2 Lock Horns instead of 4 Lock Horns. Indeed sacrificing a creature which is blocked or just arrived on board to empower all the others can be super valuable to finish an opponent, more than a lock horn or rapid shot. I will tell if efficient after a few dozens of games.
