I had seen people using
Savior of the Meek for Gauntlet decks, got one in a pack, and decided to craft the rest to try it myself. Results have been quite good.
The idea of the deck is to stall until
Xenan Obelisk,
Knight-Chancellor Siraf or Pit of Leneckta close the game. There are several early game stabilizers, and all cards are really efficient in their slot (except
Savior of the Meek. The thing about that card is that the AI absolutely HATES the 1/1 lifesteal unit it produces, and will waste valuable removal on it. It can also stop
Oni Ronin and similar cards. Another great boon is that it shines against the really fast bosses (especially the double damage one).
The deck feels really smooth in my opinion. I have never been mana screwed(although I did once got flooded. I have no idea what else to do about it, as I have only 25 power and
Lingering Influence provides extra scouting. If you can think of anything, please tell me!).
I'd say the strong point of the deck is how well it performs against the bosses. It has enough early removal / stun / blockers / silences that it can defend against almost anything, if your hand is not catastrophic. If you get to a stall-board point, you will either outdraw the opponent with
Curse of Provocation, or outvalue them with
Knight-Chancellor Siraf.
That said, there's definitely room for improvement (
Avigraft, I'm looking at you), so any comments are welcomed. Also, if anybody knows why savior is so much better than
Lumen Shepherd, also please inform me).
That's all, I hope it helps.
