The list is still a bit of a work in progress but it's definitely strong enough to play as-is. The concept of playing a Great-Kiln Titan on turn 4 is just too good to ignore.
One of the main cards I want to try to add is Permafrost but so far haven't figured out a way to make room for it. Same thing for Purify.
This deck has a small Nightfall thing going on, where Lunar Magus and Nocturnal Observer make each other better, Observer being a critical piece of this puzzle and Magus being a small help against Aggro decks.
There are some fun things we can do involving Talir's Intervention in this deck, but it's possible it only needs 2 instead of 3. Just keep an eye out for situations where it can create some big blowouts. One time I Interventioned a Novaquake Titan so I could Bond it and win the game...good times!
This deck can be tricky, but if you are familiar with reanimation strategies then you should be able to adapt pretty well. If you aren't familiar, give this a shot anyway, because it's an absolute blast!
I started playing this deck last night and pulled this off in one of my games. It took some time to get the hang of how to play it but those are the most rewarding decks to play. Thanks for sharing!
Not seeing much aggro/rakano on ladder and I'm looking at a 65% win rate right now
-4 Nocturnal Observers - pretty mediocre in this deck, especially with Blind overseer and only working at night
+4 Lunar Magus
-2 Herald's Song -
+2 (of 4) Whispering Wind - Semi-argeted draw to fetch your reanimation
-2 Reliquary raider
+2 Whispering Wind
-3 Talir's Intervention
+3 Permafrost/Trail Maker - Hard to say which is better in a 3 color deck with high mana costs, so probably worth testing, but as an explorer who ramps and fixes (and draws removal) I like Maker in big Time lists
Looks fun. If I had those legendaries I'd try it.
Hyperbole aside, i do see your logic but the only reason the deck works is because of Observers, without them you don't have something that works.
I didn't realize you were so all in on the turn 4 Great-Kiln, which dies to basically every color at the 4 spot or less in a metal overrun with spot removal, so a more balanced approach seemed better for the meta, in my opinion. Good luck!
