spoderman1337 Eternal Version: 1.43
hey please be completly honest with me okay ? ive been looking for a viable deck that runs the witching hours since a while now .... but im curretnly stocking shards for a deck to play ladder with but im unsure if i should put all my shards into this deck? i know it won ECQ but is this deck great for the ladder? should i not invest into this deck at all?
VoidKing Eternal Version: 1.43
I'd say, don't spend a single shift stone on it. It's a deck that is only good under a very specific metagame structure, and the cards you shift for aren't playable in any other decks. Objectively speaking, the deck is absolute crap. It's not fast enough by any stretch (again, except for a very specific metagame structure). You're better off waiting a couple of days for the metagame to shift.
GT100 Eternal Version: 1.43
Right now I think it depends on how popular Iso's reanimator deck is. (Link here: https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/details/r7dPFbt4F9I/rank-reanimator ) Scrappy Hour is not a great matchup for it. The deck is fun, and you will likely get enough wins to move up to Diamond, but you may run into issues in Diamond when you start running into Reanimator. If we move back to a meta where Jennev Peaks is dominant again, then Scrappy Hour will be great to play. I would also replace the Cargos with Seek Powers to save shiftstone.
SilentNSly Eternal Version: 1.43
Any specific reason to run Winchest Cargo over Seek Power in a two faction deck?
(Note: It can be countered by Rindra's Choice)
argocontrol Eternal Version: 1.43
Generally speaking, unless I’m power screwed, if my opponent uses rindras choice to counter my cargo I’m fucking overjoyed. In this deck it means they can’t use it to kill scraptank or counter combust.
Arcengal Edited Eternal Version: 1.43
Are you sure it's counterable by Rindra's choice? It's a factionless card requirement wise.
GT100 Eternal Version: 1.43
Yeah, it's really for the merchant reason, but you don't need to play cargo if you want to reduce the dust cost of this deck. Seek power works just as well.
TheBoxer Eternal Version: 1.43
Lights Out Ace’s original list had seeks. I switched them for cargo in my ETS winning list (my only change to the deck) because my stupidly pedantic tendencies from math transfer to Eternal.
Ninjacan Eternal Version: 1.43
In like 0.5% or less of matches, if you stick it in the market with merchant and later you draw another merchant and decide you need a power, you can fetch it from the market with the 2nd merchant (seek power you can't)

...there's gotts be a shorter way to explain that
Emsizz Eternal Version: 1.43
Well it makes sense how you said it.
Gandalf Edited Eternal Version: 1.43
Still, you can use the seek and then market the power. Assuming the Seek doesn't get countered, but as stated, Cargo can be countered with more spells, Rindra's Choice. Ofc this assumes you have the 1 power window to do so.
argocontrol Eternal Version: 1.43
Generally speaking, I would be totally ok if my opponent countered my cargo with a rindras choice. Obviously it can suck if you’re power screwed, but otherwise if theyre doing that then the don’t have it to counter combust or kill scraptank. I think you’re pretty happy if your opponent does that honestly.
mauric Eternal Version: 1.43
This deck was all over the ladder yesterday. So frustrating to play against. awesome work!
GT100 Eternal Version: 1.43
Thank you!
Ninjacan Edited Eternal Version: 1.43
So, quick question. I have never played witching hour.. when you play an assembly line, the cost is reduced by 1 or 4?

Edit: congratulations on the win! Insane
GT100 Edited Eternal Version: 1.43
Yep! The cost is removed by 4. Specifically though, it's removed by 1 and then by 3 since Assembly Line could be countered.

Also, thank you!
MothTDM Eternal Version: 1.43
Yo, the reason witching hour works, is because each token is considered playing a card, so it would be 4.
