Another interesting draft combining two archetypes - armory/relic weapons and sacrificing units. 3x
Siphoner Paladin really pulled the deck together - it's sort of a nutty card, especially for a common. Does require some building around.
P1P1 was
Bartholo, Beguiling. Not the greatest first pick, but meh. Followed that up by taking a Siphoner Paladin, but packs didn't feel super strong, so I decided to lean into the archetypes. Grabbed a couple of other relic weapons (like
Nightwatch Broadsword and things to sacrifice (like
Noble Protector).
P2P1 was
Stand Strong, which is a card I generally consider unplayable... but with how many Siphoners I had, I figured I might as well try to meme it up and live the dream. Was able to pull off the combo a few times, which won the game pretty much every time I was able to.
Not a ton else to say. I dabble with running Time also for a 2x
Enter the Monastery, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth it - I didn't really have enough fixing, and some steep influence requirements in Bartholo and
Smogwing Tinker.
Highlight: getting off Stand Strong -> Siphoner, multiple times. Seriously, it's absurd. Pumping up a Nightwatch Broadsword to 7/9 with Siphoner was also great.
MVP:
Siphoner Paladin. Duh.
