Hey, this deck is becoming quite popular. There's a variant with Fire too, that is quite powerful.
I've seen that you made some changes, me too and I kind of disagree with you but it's nice to have a different deck ;)
Personally I had trouble vs aggro with your previous iteration.
So I removed the Scribe, because he wasn't doing much vs aggro, neither vs control. It's a good card, but the lifegain is irrelevant and the body is very weak. I guess he's better in a Chalice deck. I see that you did the same thing.
Where we disagree is regarding the Desert Marshal & the Piercing Grief.
I found Piercing Grief not very useful vs aggro too. The lifegain is good but he can't block, which is kind of bad. Besides he doesn't mix well with Devour.
On the other hand the Marshal always satisfied me. Against aggro he's very useful, being able to block early and to silence their best creature. Against control he's nice too, as Silence is very important. For example, in the mirror match-up, I usually win by silencing their Maktos. And vs void messing creatures, he's very useful too.
I don't see how Vara's Choice is better, can you tell me more about that?
Anyway I play 4 Marshals and I'm never disappointed to draw one.
For aggro match-ups I added 3 Combrei Healers too. I'm not 100% sure about them but they do the job as early blockers and they can beat for 2 if needed (it happens!). They survive a Torch, which is why I chose them. And playing multiple of them is life saving in the early game.
I decided to focus on the early game as you're usually favored in the long game with this deck.
Another card I added is Annihilate x2. Again, for the early game, having another 2 drop to handle fast units.
Other than that, our decks are very similar. I have 1 less Dark Return and 1 more Excavate (especially for those Harsh Rules, but not only. I really like the versatility of this card).
I've seen that you added a 4th Makto. I'm pretty happy with 3 & I don't want the deck curve to be too high but I'm curious to have some feedback about how it performs.
And have you considered Feeding Time? Instead of a few Slays maybe...
Well, this deck is still very fun to play and can grant you incredible comebacks.
I took out the Scribes and Marshals in order to maximize the change that Elysian Pathfinder hits a Revenge Unit with Echo. This version is more combo based than control. I might add back some amount of Marshals to help against Aggro. Aggro is definitely the worst matchup for this deck which is the reason I like having Grief's still in the deck. Against Aggro you want to attack early with Grief in order to help survive so you can combo off later. I like adding some amount of Annihilate into the early game removal suite, just figuring out what to cut

Thanks again for having shared it ;)
I removed a Scribe but I'm not sure it was the wisest choice ;)
