Deck basically insta-loses to any sort of Stonescar deck. Try to get your units' lives above 4 and have 2 units on board always in that matchup.
Actively mulligan for 3 power hands and don't be afraid to inscribe Evelina.
Watch out for
Varbuk, Hand of Anarchy against Rakano.
Time your
Iron Ursa against Control.
Ice Bolt can't be negated by
Iron Ursa.
Potential units are bolded.
Unused units:
Pteriax Mount :
I chose Borderlands Lookout as the 1-drop since it gives the deck a better curve in general. Worth consideration in conjunction with Feral Serpent to make a more evasive gameplan.
Waystone Ignitor : Moderately-sized. Deck has some depleted powers and it is only good on 1, since you ideally should have 3 drops on 3. Maybe worth a look if the
Spiteling's Entomb triggers
Kanya, Ironthorn Envoy's summon ability.
Apprentice Mage : Gives possible turn 3
Kanya, Ironthorn Envoy, but doesn't block well and dies too easily. Also not a good topdeck.
Arcanum Seeker : You aren't in the correct faction for lifesteal, and
Torgov's Wares is just huge tempo loss.
Feral Serpent :
Another consideration for the 3-drop slot. The only problem is that you pretty much want to play units every turn and there isn't really opportunity to contract unless you hit Kanya, Ironthorn Envoy. A potential meta choice.
Javan, the Steel Crest :
I still don't have faith in Javan, the Steel Crest being a card in aggro matchups. Sure you can draw cards and sometimes buffing your units, but the body is a bit undersized for the deck.
Illuminator : The deck really wants to play a unit on 3, and the 4-drop slot is as stacked as the 3-drop slot.
Jufi, Sprite Seer : No joke. 1/3 in an aggro deck?
Ulixa, Unspoken Terror/
Torgov, Icecap Trader : Would be the choice if you want another 4-drop.
Cloudscraper :
If you see that many Helena, Skyguides, this may worth a try. Could replace Storm Lynx and Elysian Blueprints.
Lord Thudrock : Theoretically better against Aggro than
Evelina, Valley's Guardian, but does considerably worse against control and when you have an empty board.
Quinn, Master Tracker : Too small.
Entratius, Beckoning/
Cirso, the Great Glutton : You can't really slot more 5-drops.
Dinomight/
Curiox, All-Seeing : If you really want a 6-cost that is...
Non-units:
Trick Throw : Not quite good enough to remove big threats blocking your way.
Ice Bolt :
Useful if you see a lot of Helena, Skyguides, I didn't.
Serpent Hive :
The 1 damage is more relevant than it seems. Has great potential. Not tested.
Deafening Stampede : Wouldn't hurt as a 1-of.
