Why not try Shard of the Spire instead of the Guardians? I wrote this before I noticed Chalice so maybe not.

I tried Shard of the Spire! The problem is that Shard has a very different gameplan from Accelerated Impact or Chalice. The latter two cards want you to play out a bunch of little dorks as quickly as possible and then smack your opponent for tons of damage/card advantage. Shard of the Spire wants you to stall, play the relic, and *then* start playing out large guys for value. It's a little surprising, but Shard and Impact don't really work in the same deck!
