Information

1st picked Towering Stranger over Minotaur Oathkeeper and Extract. 2nd picked Cannonbearer. 3rd picked Clan Hero.

It seems solid. The mid game units are mediocre, but the late units are great. I am definitely the control deck. Opened Chalice and received Accelerated Evolution. Had enough fixing so they were essentially free splashes. I anticipate 3-4 wins.

G1: My opponent started with Bladekin Apprentice. I played a stranger. He followed up with Oni Ronin, which was perfect for my Rockslide. He took a bunch of hits from my strangers while stuck on 4 power. Eventually he found a Soaring Stranger, which I Mortared. He had Permafrost from my Towering Stranger, but otherwise only had a couple small units. My Cloudsnake Breeder sealed the game.
G2: I started with a stranger and Jotun Cyclops. My opponent only had an Avirax Familiar for 4 or so turns. Eventually he played a Crownwatch Longsword on it but still didn’t block my 4/3. When he played Pillar of Amar, he was already dead on board.
G3: I was excited when my opponent used Piercing Shot on my Blinkwolf. My Skysnapper went unopposed. I played Hunter’s Harpoon on it and went all the way. My opponent played Knucklebones, which was interesting, but he was dead on board soon after.
G4: We traded strangers. I had Stonescar Maul for his Awakened Sentinel. He traded 2 strangers and a Rockslide for my Cannonbearer. My Towering Stranger hit him twice before he threatened to race with Accelerated Evolution on his Karmic Guardian. But I had Mortar and Rockslide in hand to burn him out.
G5: I warped in Blinkwolf on turn 2. My opponent started with a stranger and Minotaur Oathkeeper. I followed up with Stormcrasher and a stranger. We just kept attacking each other, which I was happy about since I was easily winning that race. He had Eilyn’s Choice for Jotun Cyclops, but had to burn Strength of the Many to keep his oathkeeper alive against my snowball. His next play was Adaptive Predator, but he died before it could make much impact.
G6: I started with East Wind Herald into Cloudsnake Breeder. My opponent started with Auric Bully into Crownwatch Longsword. We raced. I misplayed Accelerated Evolution picking flying (that the unit already had) instead of endurance. This proved to be my downfall as I couldn’t keep his 2/2 from attacking nor could I use Chalice on it. His Peacemaker’s Prod sealed it.
G7: I had Skysnapper into Hunter’s Harpoon. My opponent followed up with Auric Sentry. I played Skywalk Instructor. I blocked when he attacked, which he followed up with Plague. I was content with that trade until he followed up with Roosting Owl 2 turns later. I had Cannonbearer and swung with it once before he played a 5/9 stranger and Waystone Infuser. I played Stormcrasher and used its ultimate. He never found an answer for that.
G8: I started with East Wind Herald. I traded my stranger for his Yeti Snowslinger. I Torched his Clan Hero. He played Yeti Snowchucker. I played a sparked Clan Hero and elected not to block with it since I was winning the race. He used Pummel to scry for an answer. He followed up with Serpent Trainer. I attacked with my stranger and Clan Hero. He conceded when I followed up with Towering Stranger.

Never mind! Guess I was a tempo deck with a great end game. I keep underestimating how effective a 7/7 with overwhelm is. Never even activated Chalice once.
