An Argenport version of Hooru Svetya's Sanctum deck using Poacher's Menagerie as an added finisher. While both deck plays similarly, I think shadow faction provides more utility than primal but at the cost of better card draws.
I believe Jaral in the Hooru version is just too weak and takes too long to setup to become a threat. Not to mention it dies from your own board wipes. Whereas Poacher's Menagerie can start pumping units the following turn and since this is gauntlet, you don't need to fear against relic removal since it is very rare that the AI removes your relics.
The previous version's weakness is an early weapon whereas this deck can easily answer it. It can also dig faster for the needed cards. Market cards and choices remain open. I chose the spell version as I wanted to remain unit-less but further testing is needed.
So far, I am satisfied with this compared to the Hooru version and it has shown better results in gauntlet. Below are the pros and cons for this deck against the Hooru version:
PROS:
- better utility
- better removals: relic, site and units
- hand disruption
- void recursion (nothing added for this iteration yet)
- digs more cards from deck
CONS:
- draws lesser cards
- no face aegis
For those who'd want to try this out, I'd appreciate your findings and share your thoughts. Thanks.
- removed the 3 defiance for 3 call the hit
- removed the 2 ruin, 2 slay, 4 condemn for 8 merchants (shadow and AP)
- removed the 2 wrath of caiphus and 1 sanctum for 3 Platings
- removed the 3 eavesdrop for 3 circles
In market I had Fall to Ruin, Slay, Vara's authority, Office and Builder's decree which was the best card in condemn market but is the worst here so you can replace it with anything, maybe a banner even
