I've been enjoying a slow but steady climb through gold and diamond with this so far. Clearly nothing amazing, but if you're sick of playing what the meta says you should right now, you might have as much fun as I have been with some of this delicious tribal synergy.
Treat
Anointer of the Faithful like a 3 drop to get in a
Crownwatch Paladin or
Hojan, Crownbreaker on the same turn. The former isn't so hot, but the latter will provide ramp and at least draw out removal. Not to say that putting it out on 2 is always wrong, though. Also, don't be afraid to put a
Vanquisher's Blade on with spellcraft here and there. Even on an Anointer you'll make an evasive threat against both aggro and control.
Lost Scroll and
Copperhall Paladin offer Hojan synergy, which can do some dirty things, and will help ramp at the very least.
Units that combo stuff are fun and all, but we all know markets win games.
Regent's Tomb is a great card to grab when you have enough board presence or you're playing against control. You'll usually play
Sabotage first to clear out a sweeper/removal first.
Lingering Influence can help ensure you are able to swing in for pressure the next turn, and finally,
Swear Vengeance on a
Hidden Road Smuggler or your beef that you played the previous turn is always nice.
Telut, Queen's Hand speaks for itself, but
Copperhall Bracers have also won me more games than I expected.
Annihilate is definitely flexible.
Crownwatch Paladin can feel underwhelming sometimes, and you might be tempted to put in, say,
Ripknife Assassin instead. You might be right. Try it! Just keep in mind that sometimes that 1 extra attack on her makes all the difference in bonding in something bigger like
Reyna, the Unwavering whose endurance and immunity to shadow removal have been surprisingly good right now.
