unstable is used on hojan often for ramping. Sometimes on enemy creatures who are annoying (creatures that have much (berserk) burst, carddraw, rost etc), other times as market fodder, it's nice to play on hurler sometimes and lastly it can be used in combination with second sight to increase your hand size.
But obviously it's very good market fodder or simply a card you want to discard (with gustrider or honor of claws)

Are you more likely to use unstable form on your creatures or theirs, or is it mostly merchant fodder?

@Almost Alexei here: yes indeed. 3 Rost, 1 Sediti looks a bit weird. Sediti would be the more obvious choice power requirement wise due to priviledge of rank and Hojan providing you with justice sigils. Reason i put 3/1 in here was because i simply didn't have more than 1 Sediti and was called last minute before the tournament that i could participate and shiftstoning other cards for more sediti wasn't an option time wise and i just went with it.
That said i think Rost is clearly the most valuable one in terms of forming a thread to scoop up the game. Sediti can relative easily be removed, but Rost keeps coming back and then in combo with palace either giving him aegis or berzerk or additional stats... Its a game winner.

Hard to say what amount of both in the deck would be ideal or if you would just go for sediti only for example (and then get royal decreed....).

And the PressGang /Gustrider combo/value is fantastic in this deck. Playing 1 PressGang on turn 4 can result in an insane amount of card draw with the 2 gustriders it draws on revenge, the 4 cards the gustriders will draw & the potential of drawing extra cards if you draw one of the echo cards, Hurler or if you discard privilege of rank ;p

The split between Rost and Sediti seems like an unnecessary strain on the powerbase to me, but other than that I think this deck is really interesting. PressGang, Gustrider, and expendable cards really can generate a lot of card advantage while also getting onto the board.
