Deck built around
Wump, Party Starter, and mainly around playing yetis boosting other yetis.
It was a challenge, but I succeeded to do a strong deck AND to keep the fun side of yeti's lore + easy to play. :)
How to play it
Play yeti.
Your beginning hand permit to play 1st yeti? Keep your hand, play 1st yeti.
If you don't know what to do, play yeti.
If you know what to do, well...
You can be do what you want to do. While you play yeti.
Card replacements
Windswept Rift (Separate Ways) can be replaced by
Primal Sigil.
Star Charts (Enter the Arcanum) can be replaced by
Primal Sigil.
No impact at all on the deck efficiency for these replacements.
Some nice tips
Play yeti.
There are many draw effects in the deck (to play first, like
Xultan Ambassador).
Do not fear to use debt of
Plunk Wumpkin, except if you calculate to play a specific yeti card next turn.
Powers: more you have, better it is.
Draw motors keep your hand permanently playable. So play yeti.
Influences: Use the 1st turn to play a "depleted" power, permitting to give red + blue.
Then you can forget influence on all other turns.
The 2nd blue comes by itself, and the 2nd red is always here if
Garden of Omens is played (it's rare to play it).
Attack: It's better to attack safely with your units, without loosing them.
By becoming stronger, we frequently end the game by attacking with all yetis. So play yeti.
Market: Wilderness Delivery permits to remove almost any disturbing thing.
All of that as fast spell, with 4 powers:
Ice Bolt,
Kaleb's Choice,
Eilyn's Intervention.
Yeti Furflinger is a yeti + small drawer, mainly against many-removal-units decks.
Do not forget that
Garden of Omens permit to instantly play
Ice Bolt or
Melt Down (if
Kaleb's Choice can't do the job).
Mirror Image can be played on any yeti card, without waiting.
Any yeti is interesting: consider it like playing a yeti. So play yeti.
Always use the debt of
Torq, Ballistics Crafter, always discard for
Rocket Sled.
Not only for +1 yeti strength: Think about the
Snowball you will launch to her/his face, doing 2 minimum damages (
Rocket Sled played!), and frequently 4-5 due to just-casted
Iceberg Warchief from your hand, all of that for only 1 power...
I always succeeded to play a interesting yeti with the recruit of
Grove Defenses (and the deck is made like that).
Use it to free the path to the enemy whenever it can be: it's always nice with a free yeti. So play yeti.
Play yeti.
