-Why no shadow sketch?
Played 3 on start, 2 later and eventually removed them. They do absolutey nothing on curve than prevent from playing actual cards at that turn and since I will need the resource anyway it is usually played normally. Lastly, if game has gone into a stalemate mode that means most likely we lost.
-Why no scraptank?
Cause is slow.
-Why no devour?
Cause rat king replaced them. It is much better with bandit queen and I would rather apply pressure than play an aggro deck with draw elements. Devour is great vs lifestealers though.
I decided to go with vows instead of common cause, painting or seats.
Don't need common cause and is ususally colorless later game while I would like to be able to play waystones on time.
Paintings are awful with queen. Queen needs to be played asap since it snowballs the game.
Seats are seats. They are playable in this deck but vow helps not flood. Don't want more than 4 resources.
Games take literally 2 mins. It can recover from 1 sweeper but not from 2. Argenport decks are the worse matchups besides lifestealers.
Thoughts on a Condemn market, maybe in place of Combust? Turn for the Worse makes it a fast Toxicology, Open Contract should kill everything if you don't plan to go past turn 5 (might be better than combust here anyway), Charchain Flail/Battlefront Dasher/Flame Blast can give you extra reach etc.
Condemn has an underlying problem unlike most other market cards, is card disadvantage unless you play something like frenzy or so.
The chances of it killing a unit are slim, in particular late game and a card like Snipe, doesn't seem good.
Basically, Combust: 1 cost and kill a grenadin vs Condemn:''2 cost with Turn for the worse included'' and lose 1 card.
Open Contract is amazing card and I even thought of even adding a couple, but reducing the number of grenadins is not optimal imo, but could see it work.
I think is very close with combust on that spot. Games can take longer, doesn't mean that me planning not go above 4 cost that game would end there though.
I guess it depends on how much you value your 1 grenadin for combust. Combust hits everything, I never had combust and no grenadin in play.
And if that would happen late game means I most likely lost.
I cut 1 rat king for 3rd fire conjuring btw. I noticed I had many games with 6+ grenadins on board and neither queen nor conjuring would be drawn. Post nerf as well he is a worse card.
Is usually the 2nd sweeper or the 2nd lifestealer or board presence taking over that kills me.
The worse matchups that I may as well quit on the spot are:
-Sling decks are impossible to win against 8 sweepers.
-Argenport decks similary pack a lot of disruption and sweepers and Tavrod decks have too much sustain Jadehorn and beef that makes it miserable play against.
