Heyyyy guys... for those of you who like combos, here is a great one!... I just had to post it after going 7-0... I just made it and it’s quite funny.
Here is the gameplan.. play low threats in Siraf and Broker, and stall with board wipes, but here is the kicker... you have the only blue spell in the deck as Channel the tempest, which gets played for free after brokering the 8 mana Eilyn and playing a snowball off of jotun hurler.. when you draw the snowball from his fate, NEVER play it until Eilyn is on the board.. you have plenty of stuff to do to keep tempo and shouldn’t need to snowball.. if you are in a position where you must use it, the match PROBABLY isn’t going much your way.
The Sirafs are there as mana sinks, and removal magnets.. if left unchecked, they pose as an alternative win condition.
The market, as always, is flexible.. still in debate on temporal, but for now I will keep it there.. am thinking about subbing in passage of eons instead, for silencing and mass removal.. for now I will keep testing... wand there to ensure you draw into your combo pieces.. lumen there to shuffle your void in case you’re milled, or somehow manage to cast all tempest and the opponent still isn’t dead, (which happened to me twice already)...
Because we need to combo into tempest, we can’t afford to have any other blue spells, so we have beseech the throne and seek answers as our drawing answer.
Deck has been quite interesting to navigate and I’m actually surprised at its consistency. Of course, I will continue to test it, and will update it with any changes I think are needed.
I look forward to thoughts and comments, and hope you enjoy!
UPDATE: unfortunately my streak ended at 12... lost to turn to seed and the OP green relic destroying creatures for playing lands.. so updated the market and main JUST a bit.. Qirin instead of disjunction and eons cause it buffers with lifegain.. and blue waystone over sigil to attempt some protection... will year and see.. record is 12-1 with the deck
