Vargo is surprisingly good in today's meta where there are a lot of removal piles that are running like Desecrate, Vanquish, Harsh Rule... They just can't deal with Vargo. Ixtun can, but they typically spend 2 for 1 on your Vargos (except for Ice Bolt, which ramps you) and can't deal with Icaria afterwards.
